I really like the front but the back is a let down. The first couple of releases with similar back artwork were great but it's been done to death now, I'd rather have a nice image on there or even nothing at all.

Even though I'm not keen on the artwork, it might grow on me :wtf: Any idea when pre orders go live? :dunno:

I dont own the film on Blu Ray but have seen it and thoroughly enjoyed it. This doesnt seem to be limited so will wait for it to hit >£9.99

It's an ultra limited print run... Apparently :naughty:

Yeah, the quote works well on The Wicker Man (I don't know any others with a quote on the back.) but this one just sounds weird. Does it have relevance to the story or is it in a memorable scene?

Also, I love the artwork. Graphic designs can be hit or miss but this one hits the mark for me....maybe I'm not butthurt about the art because I've never seen the film :emb:
I don't understand why people call it lazy though, it's an original work of art, right?

the artwork features a deer........and a hunter.............other than that i really don't get it...............:wtf:

If you're having trouble with the front cover I worry about you opening the steel and trying to figure out what on earth the little flat ring inside actually does...

The Artwork is from the new official Poster to promote the re-release to UK cinemas

The Deer Hunter is been re-released in UK cinemas on Friday 1st August 2014

Its not what I would have liked personally myself as Artwork Choice but it is from the new official Poster Artwork to promote the cinema re-release

Is there a reason why it's being released again? Anniversary or something? Been wanting to watch it for ages so might just wait till it's out at cinema.

It was originally released for one week in Dec 1978 but did not get a full general wide release until Feb 1979
so that would make it 35 years

So I expect it the 35th anniversary
