So, we have the "Fake" and "Steelbook Price Drop" thread, but we don't yet have the thread where you post listings with "crazy" prices for Steelbooks. If you see any, post them here and have fun debating. As per forum rules, please remain respectful with each other-one person's "high price", could be another's "deal of a lifetime" score. Enjoy! :scat:

Please keep discussion to Ebay and other retailers, not private sellers.

Sorry but no limited edtion of anything is worth that sort of money especially when it hasn't been signed by anyone involved in the film. Kind of like having Sgt Peppers signed by the Beatles and a standard 60's pressing. You know which one should be worth silly money. (And before some smart alex says it no I don't have a copy signed by the Beatles, if only!)

Apparently it is. Otherwise nobody would have been willing to pay such price... :)

The listing just ended. Not sold.

Holy cow that is just pure insanity $2000 wtf? I'll never understand people's logic spending like that. It'll never increase in value beyond that.

Not everything is purchased by people looking for the value of an item to increase.

You really think this person bought it hoping to sell it someday for $4000?

All steelbooks will be worthless $ wise someday. Including this one.

But that doesn't mean they won't still be treasured by the people who buy them.

EDIT:

And of course it might be crazy if somebody spent their very last dollar on it.
But maybe this person has that kind of money to throw around and not miss it.

@Noodles I'm not the man for that unfortunately but congrats on having your artwork featured on such a sought after release!! Possibly one of the most expensive/rare releases to date?!? In the 101 made was the 1 yours for them using your artwork then?

It's happened again! Sorry to drag this thread up again but this is laughable!! And again the greedy b****** didn't even do free postage!!!

I get the joke about the postage but what makes him greedy?
This person put an item on eBay and got 118 bids on it.

I don't think you start an auction and then decide "OK I got $400 for it. Time to end the auction." :)

No no no bud. I'm all for making as much as you can. If someone wants to pay that much for it that's fair enough let them. Just the greedy bit about charging the person postage too! After spending that much you would think he could spare £5!

Thanks mate! It's definitely something I'm very proud of and will cherish my copy (it's #13 by the way) forever.
