It has just been announced that Bryan Singer has cast Olivia Munn as the awesome mutant Psylocke in the upcoming film X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Munn is a actress who has never kept her nerd side quiet. She used to be a host on G4’s ATTACK OF THE SHOW! Olivia Munn will do the character justice as a strong, powerful, ninja-like mutant who is a welcome addition to the Mutant Family.
Psylocke was created by Chris Claremont in the pages of Captain Britain. She has telekinetic powers that include martial arts skills and the ability to create energy blasts. One of the powers she is best known for is her psychic knife that she is rarely seen without. I’m excited about the choice and I like the direction this movie is headed.
The film also stars James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Hardy, Bingbing Fan, Lana Condor, and Oscar Isaac.
X-MEN: APOCALYPSE opens in theaters on May 27th, 2016.
