Great film but only just bought the normal blu-ray and dont think i can justify spending £18 double dipping

So this is more limited than the combined full & lenti slip from Kimchi. Still not enough for me to bite.

If it's the same basic design as Kimchi, I'm just about to save myself about £20 quid on importing it :ohno:

Damn Zavvi, just jump on the bandwagon. What's next? Amélie?!

I'd love that.

I don't regret buying the Kimchi edition, this will probably be inferior in every way.

Without the bells and whistles for that price, but when zavvi get it right, their best steelbooks are up with the best.

For all I think the designs are great of the full slips, lenticulars etc, if given the option just to buy the steelbook for £10 cheaper, I'd go with that every time.

Good, well made and worthy film but far too depressing to watch more than once, can't see why anyone would want this for repeat viewing, same as something like Schindlers list or to a lesser extent requiem for a dream, all of them put me in a complete downer

Depressing films can make you appreciate what you have and/or the humdrum of life all the more imo.

So basically Zavvi is going to do a 2K run of every StudioCanal movie?

Well if they do there will most likely be some very tasty British and European classics to look forward to - I'm not complaining, we can pick and choose after all :)

As for this automatically being inferior to the Kimchi - if they do it right, like Brave, etc., then Kimchi can save their slips and artcards, and I'll save about £30 in postage and import duties, VAT, etc.

I have watched Schindler's List more times than any other movie, it's an amazing film and makes you appreciate just how lucky you are.

StudioCanal are going through their catalogue, so this was inevitable. It's not as if Zavvi are cashing in on the popularity of the Kimchi edition.

I agree but if this is the standard StudioCanal affair, it won't come close to matching the Kimchi edition purely in terms of the Steelbook itself.
