Not thrilled with any of them. The Django Mondo art is much nicer than the already nice looking FS steel I have and the film is top notch. Alien is also a great film but I don't love the Mondo art for a steel (unless it has emboss/deboss on it). Looper Mondo is nice but the lenti steel can't be beat.

I'd love Alien but probably should stop myself from buying any more Alien related stuff lol.

Django would be good as current steel has a piss poor matte finish.

I personally think only 2 from the list are “noodles”, or requiring new artwork if you will. The rest have fairly decent designs:

1) Dark Knight - Canadian release. No blue banner, great photo. Next.
2) Looper - Play.com is my #1 choice, but the FS lenti design is cool too.
3) Alien - Zavvi design could be better - too much negative space.
4) Django Unchained - Embossed UK handsome looking steel, what else do you want?!
5) Oblivion - The poster design is nothing but perfect.
6) Lost Boy - I’ll wave my white flag on this. This title definitely needs an upgrade.

Again, I was simply hoping Mondo artwork will be used on a title that never had a steelbook release.

Somehow I feel I would be much more inclined to double dip on some of these titles if they went for a whole range of releases with art by a single artist. For example, since we're already getting a Stout Drive, I'd love to see a run of 5 or 10 releases, all with Stout's art. If they also connect them thematically, it would be an amazing little "collection".

The Mondo artwork for Oblivion would be super slick on a Steelbook. Too bad that movie was a massive disappointment for me and I don't think I'd ever buy it...

I'm hoping for Looper or Lost Boys. But I have a feeling it'll be Batman though.

@zerox39 I think as there is about 10 weeks until announcement of which it will be, you should remove one from the list every 10-14 days so we can continue guessing. At the same time you would keep us intrigued and the excitement with grow every time...

Am I the only one who hopes it's NOT The Lost Boys? I don't care for the film at all. Near Dark is where it's at.

I'm with you there. I don't mind the movie but it's not great. I bought the blu for my wife because she likes it. Saw it for the first time recently and didn't love it. That being said, it's one of the 6 that I don't already have some kind of metal packaging for so I might buy it if it's lost boys.

More than anything I hope these are not the next 6 releases. I don't think I could be convinced to stick with the mondo collection through 6 releases that I'm only moderately excited about at best.

This isn't the next 6 necessarily, I'm working on lots of different titles
