Hi-Def Ninja Exclusive video:

Synopsis:
Filmed over 12 years with the same cast, Richard Linklater's Boyhood is a groundbreaking story of growing up as seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (Ellar Coltrane), who literally grows up on screen before our eyes. Starring Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette as Mason's parents and newcomer Lorelei Linklater as his sister Samantha, Boyhood charts the rocky terrain of childhood like no other film has before and is both a nostalgic time capsule of the recent past and an ode to growing up and parenting. Bit curious that there was space left for the "/2000", but it was never added. I wonder if they stopped adding it after a certain number, or if that's just an anomaly.

I have 1834 / 2000 and it has the full thing written. I'd guess an anomaly.

I think the hand numbering is cool in theory but care needs to be taken for it to look neat and it was not with this release.

It makes me happy that Looper looks to be machine numbered instead.

The steel and clear slip look amazing, but that numbering is awful, even though unique, it's out of balance and not in line with the rest of the product (designwise).

It should have been on the back, outlined straight and not handwritten.

The front design is so appealing and what ruins it, is the numbering label which is totally random with alignment and neatness (handwriting).

Sorry guys :(
Remember it's NOT Mondo or Future Shop that decides, it's the studio depending on their distribution rights.
Thanks for the update Marc. I was hoping they might have kept it region free like Paramount but it's not to be. I wanted to get all the Mondo releases but I don't think I can justify it if I can't play them.:(

I don't think it's sloppy or distracting at all, I actually find it a nice touch, especially considering the fact that one person slaved over them (hand-numbering 2000 stickers somewhat neatly was surely money well-earned; they can use it to pay for carpal tunnel therapy). Now I haven't seen them all, maybe some/most are truly sloppy and distracting, but everything I've seen in this thread so far has been a-okay IMO. Frankly, whoever it was, I think their handwriting is actually rather nice, I like the way they bothered to style their zeroes and nines so that it wouldn't look like some schmuck just sat down and scribbled each out.

Treat yourself to a region free player... £160 :) Just think, cancel a couple of steelbook orders and the cost is covered :) Best thing I ever did for my home cinema

I have thought about doing it a few times. I actually don't have that many Region A discs though so I'm not sure how useful it would be but it would help. I thought they were a lot more expensive than that though, do you know where I can find a player at that price?:)
