Cheers .

That's the one. So long since I've seen it, it's on the memory's back spool :)

I must revisit soon :)
And the Best Segments aren't John Landis and Steven Spielberg - But George Miller's and Joe Dante's!!
It is true....George Miller has directed other things besides Mad Max!!
(bonus fact: it is true that Paul McCartney was in another band before Wings....:D)
It is a good flick though.
Remember the beginning and ending of the movie (the bookends) with Albert Brooks and Dan Aykroyd)? "Wanna see something REALLY scary?"
I actually just bought the Blu-ray of that off of eBay about a month and a half ago!
(I believe it's out-of-print)

Actually strange that George Miller hasn't worked more than he has.

And Joe Dante - where did it all go wrong - zilch that I can recall, or that's worth a mention since about 1990 - what a waste!

Now you're kiddiing about McCartney right?

It must have been one of those obscure little bands that nobody has heard of - . . . . Hehe

Bonus Dan Ackroyd fact: he owns Diamond Estates Winery

lol I feel so uneducated and I don't care (due to respect @C.C. 95 )

...I watched this movie without any pre conceived notions and it just surprised me...
it was just a super nice watch no matter who directed it where and when....

Yeah, I wish Joe Dante did more. I love his 80s output.
And George Miller DID have that whole "side career" as a Medical Doctor!.;)
I think maybe (?) he always thought of filmaking as second to being an MD?
It was obviously something very important to him...I remember he cared very much about his movie Lorenzo's Oil, which sort of married his filmmaking with his Medical background.
And everybody forgets his hand in making the BABE movies, and HAPPY FEET movies (the BABE's were good - I could, however, have easily and comfortably lived in a world that was free of HAPPY FEET movies....;)).

* I think Aykroyd also makes a special Gin or Vodka too!
EDIT- yup!

@Actarus
This will be a fun game for you! You saw the movie, and didn't know the different segments were directed by 4 different "known" directors. - try and match (without cheating on IMDB) each director with each segment and see if you guessed right!

You've just blown my mind by saying George Miller directed happy feet! Did not know that

I also agree, 10 cloverfield lane is like a twilight zone episode but as a feature film :D:p

I've not actually seen the twilight zone film with the 4 directors, I'll have to check it out

I know lots of people where it seems to go from, and I feel silly for just being content with whatever was...but that is just whatever was, it was amazing !!!

I have a feeling there is some confusion and @Actarus thinks 10CL was directed by 4 directors? That right?
Yeah. See TWILIGHT ZONE on a lazy Sunday. It's a fun flick. I remember that when it came out, everybody was kind of surprised that, of all people, Steven Spielberg (who Executive Produced), had (arguably) the weakest segment! (I like it, though). George Miller's is "balls to the wall" tension (and the only segment that was based on one of the TV episodes, starring William Shatner!), Dante's is a Looney Tunes cartoon come to life, Landis' is a comeuppance role reversal tale, and Spielberg's is about believing in magic and the power of youth.

Sounds like something up my street, I'll check it out

(I didn't realise those 4 directors did segments until you mentioned)

I liked the movie overall, for a small budget movie all set in one location, I thought the actors done a great job and the script wasn't too shabby. Obviously not perfect but what is these days?

As for the artwork, I have simple tastes and I like minimal vector artwork, so I don't mind it. It's not amazing and could be better or completely different but at the end of the day, it is what it is! I'd like to see what @Noodles would come up with :naughty:

I actually like the steelbook too... big fan of minimalist/vector art, so this is right up my street! :D

Unfortunately, there's not much official art for this film out there, so I'd struggle to create anything special... maybe I'll still give it a go though. ;)
