They advertised embossed and turns out to be debossed :hilarious: oh well afraid it still doesn't float my boat, turned out pretty much as I expected.

Looks great looking forward to getting this
Its good that we see the final product and real photos in advance of release

Thanks DB!:scat:

Pretty unimpressive steelbook. That said, it appears that Zavvi have listened to all those who complain about embossing and borders (unless, of course, it's the decision of the studio). And we get actual pictures a month before release. That's a pretty big improvement.

Noticed that to. Absolute fail again from Zavvi. This should also have had a gloss finish.

Yeah makes me sad to think what they could of done with this. If only they had put the back art on the front emboss or deboss it (actually emboss it, it would sit within the border perfectly), also keep the red black theme but obviously glossy.

I don't think this is too bad. I like debossed titles and Universal's matte finishes aren't bad compared to some in my experience. That said I still don't think it's worth any more than £9.99.

As was discussed long ago, the back should have been the front, and the monkeys debossed, then I would have bought it, as it is its pretty uninspiring. When it falls to £9.99 I might reconsider...

Why all these boring almost all black steelbooks? It works for some titles but when its time after time with minimalistic art it gets pretty repetitive

My thoughts exactly. Was disappointed with both this release and The Game. As it stands now I'd rather just keep my amaray of Twelve Monkeys and order the Criterion version of The Game (not to mention it's cheaper and has a significantly better transfer, why sacrifice quality on both the steelbook and the actual video?!).

Hope these stay on shelves for a few months (or years rather) so they get the message.
