That's a tough call with stafford going up against SF defense. But honestly you really never know what to expect out of Alex smith. And as long as stafford has Calvin Johnson he's always got a shot to put up 20+. Just my opinion.

Ya, exactly my opinion. But I really can't win starting Stafford and my SF defense. If my defense is tough and Smith has a good home game, I might do better.
Gotta decide soon!

No offense, but this is a perfect example of why the scoring is jacked up.

Vincent Jackson 128 yards and 1 td for 21.30
Eli Manning 510 yards and 3 td 26.20

basically QBs are **** in this league ... maybe others are used to playing like that, but I've never played in a league where QBs are crap. No way a performance like that should only be 5 points more than a receiver only going for 100+ and 1 td.

Neither are my players, so I'm not whining about me ... I'm whining for everyone ;p Tho I'm not saying anything should be changed ... but next year it has to be changed.

Eli also had 3 picks, so that's minus 6 points.

EVERYONE had a chance to look at the scoring prior to the draft. EVERYONE had a chance to look at the scoring I proposed before I created the league. EVERYONE is playing under the same rules so stop crying about it.

Not complaining, but I liked last years scoring much better.
But my biggest problem is my lowsy drafting. I should have studief more before the draft.

I wasn't a part of last season, but you say you like that system better, while others said it was terrible. Wreck thinks these settings are bad, but no one has complained about them in the 4 seasons I've been running a different league with these same settings.

If Wreck wants to run the league next season with QB's getting a point for every 10 passing yards with 6 point TD's and -1 point INT's lets go for it, but don't expect people not to complain that QB's score too much.

But for now, for this season, these are the rules we're playing with and everyone is subject to them. If you think your team sucks because you drafted a QB in the 1st round, you should've actually, you know, taken the 2 minutes to glance at the league settings.

Fanofgaming: cutler over Eli? Why?

Well, I look like a dumbass now don't I haha. But I thought Bears and Packers would get into a shootout, so Cutler would have to keep airing it out. Conversely, I thought the Giants would get an early lead on the Bucs and pound the ground game

It backfired...

Rg3 is starting to look like a lucky auto draft pick

Bro take it easy. Every league has criticism. Can't please everyone. No big deal. People have the right to their opinions and you gotta just roll with it. I can assure you none of us are trying to turn this into a personal thing against you.

It's fantasy football y'all. Let's just enjoy it.

But absolutely blumaster is right. You shouldn't draft based on name. You draft based on scoring 100% of the time. That's the way the pros do it. Believe that. Any league where qbs get 4 for tds I wait til like round 7 to go qb.

At any rate. Let's all keep it cool and keep the friendly matchup trash talk going :)

P.S. I'm not trying to say I'm a pro :hilarious: I've actually never finished higher than 2nd. So maybe just a noob

quit taking things personal to say that I'm crying about it. There is a lot I do like about this league but the point of any league is to perfect the scoring system so that everyone loves it. at least that would be the ideal goal. I'm not saying QBs need to be beasts ... but in 99% of leagues, QBs often score the most points. The QBs have been dumbed down. I know this because a lot of the RB and WR are close to same score as in other leagues ... its just the QBs that got dumbed down. I'm just saying I hope next year we throw some type of adjustment so that QBs who have good outings arent below WR's.

I'm mentioning this stuff so we can talk it out and so we can perfect it for next year. Not to start a riot ... If others chimed up and said they like the QBs low ... then I would shut up, but without talking it out and coming to a mutual agreement its a bit hard to guess. Perhaps this subject is better being brought up at end of season anyways.

Just for a scoring system perspective (not advocating either system, just trying to help show Wreck's point):

HDN League:
Vincent Jackson - 21.30
Eli Manning - 26.20

in the league I commish:
Vincent Jackson - 23.80 points
Eli Manning - 40.20

When a person continues to bring up the scoring system, to me it's like
cmonman.jpeg
, stop crying about the scoring and just play.

Week 2 isn't the time to be rallying for
obama_change_x_framed__poster.jpg
. The settings have been there, they were never hidden or locked away. Any requests for
obama_change_x_framed__poster.jpg
should have been made prior to the draft. Nothing can be changed. These are the rules we're playing by.

There's a great distance between now and when the
267298-madden-nfl-cover-curse-calvin-johnson-2013.jpg
season kicks-off. So let's keep the talk about
267298-madden-nfl-cover-curse-calvin-johnson-2013.jpg
out of
nfl-2012.jpg
.

My settings are tweaked default settings. These settings allow for equal importance among QB, WR, & RB's by keeping scoring in check. I'm not into point
negligence_lawsuit_nyc_attorneys_aeelaw.gif
and making one position waaaayyyy more important than any other position. You still need a QB to win. You still need a good RB or two to win. And you still need good production from your WR's & TE's.

ha ok. And no you dont need a good QB to win. ;p They are averaging like 9 points in our league.

lol and FOG got 2.xx so I'm sure if we counted all the QBs in the league it would break down to that. Without my QB, I would still have beat FOG.

But I dont want to keep this thread spiraling into negativity lol. sorry.

So as for Football ......

Anyone else think it was pretty sad for Peyton? 3 picks in first quarter!

Nope it's a Manning trait. Eli did it on Sunday only difference is he won the game. ;)

I figured if Peyton won, he would be like ... "Eli, see you did all your picks in the 2nd quarter so I had to show you up and do mine in the first" ;) but yeah.... ;p

LOL I'm sure. Too bad that didn't happen in this game, although I see pleny more INTs for Peyton this season. He just doesn't have that arm strength right now to get those balls above the defenders. Most of his throws are just fluttering over to the receivers.

My worst auto draft pick seems to be Chris Johnson. What is wrong with this guy? Is it true what theyre saying that the O-line is just garbage? I haven't had a chance to watch
