quantity restriction is a good idea, but they should inform their customers of this.. or inculde a mechanism which prevents one from ordering more than 3 steelbooks

btw. i feel so sorry for all the ebay scalpers. :hilarious:

Like I said, they don't want anyone reselling for higher prices on ebay if they can do it themselves. If that were really their policy then you would be restricted to x amount to begin with. This probably explains the unusual amount on ebay, as they couldn't all be buyer cancellations.

V. annoying, they've canceled orders of 5 before. If the limit is less than 5 they should state this and people can then make a more informed decision when pre-ordering

Nowhere does it state a limit plus I ordered like 5 mins after it went live in like february

Did you have more than 5 on order??

This could be the reason. Zavvi is known to cancel orders where 5 or more of an item has been ordered. So if you have 3 in one order and 3 in another for a total of 6, you are probably at risk of having one of your orders cancelled outright. But if you have 3 in one order and 2 in another, you should be fine.

Personally I am glad they do this. I don't think anyone needs to order more than 5 of any limited steelbook. And group buys from Zavvi are almost completely unnecessary and not even applicable. They ship all around the world.

No 5 only, I've had 5 before with no probs (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)

So I a had a few of these preordered, today out of nowhere they decided to cancel my order!
So I contacted them & this was the response.

Any group buys out there beware
oh dear, sorry for you :(

Agreed, thy should make it clearer and impose a basket restriction....or just cancel the extra items and reduce an order to their agreed 5. Its not fair on genuine buyers who are helping others out or buy an extra incase of damage as we knew this title would sell out, so why risk being landed with a damaged steel if there's no option to return? Thats another area zavvi need to sort things - keep some stock back for potential replacements and THEN whack any extras on zavvioutlet at the infalted price if they must

aww now you've got me worried....I've got 5 on order and have 2 americans waiting on 3 of those (assuming any damage is restricted to the one spare) :ugh:
