I didn't see this posted elsewhere, so I apologize if this was already brought up. Amazon.de has dropped their shipping charges significantly to the U.S. to EUR 3.00 per shipment (was 14 EUR flat before). Additional costs per kg add another EUR 3.00(on a pro-rata basis) for orders that exceed a 1 kg. Pretty cheap to order from them now and not have to do a big order just to reduce shipping costs.

Shipping to the UK has dropped as well(thanks sunnyx)

Interesting to see they've made the cheaper rate per Steelbook possible, but it also makes me a bit nervous about which method will be used if I were to order just one Steelbook (packaging, carrier, tracking). I'll take any cost savings, but lets hope the previous additional quality of upgraded packaging will still stand at 3 EUR....

assuming packaging stays the same this is GREAT news for US folks. Do Canadian's get the same or do we get shafted again, lol :wtf:

EDIT: i read the linked page properly now... Canada is an "other" country so were not part of this shipping deal. 9 euro for us plus 4 euro depending on the weight.

Yup Canada gets the shaft. Doesn't make any sense, extra 6 Euros for basically the same distance as the US.

I'm not quite sure how they calculate it, but it seems the more you order the cheaper it is. I did one for 4 and it is EUR 6,12. Another order for 8 is EUR 3,00. How ever they do it, it is great. :D

Needless to say, I cancelled my pre-orders and reordered.

o just checked the order i have with them and still it says 14 euros shipping, do you think they will update this or this is pretty much for new orders?

I'm a little concerned on the quality of the packaging on this 3 euro flat shipping fee.i just tried putting a quantity of 25 to see how much they would charge and it is still 3 euros...

As long as amazon.de doesn't change frustration fee packaging this is golden. I don't mind foregoing tracking as I'm sure amazon's customer service will back any order issues. Amazon.uk doesn't offer tracking to the US and for the past two years and several orders, I've only had one order not turn up. I might just order that Amazing Spiderman set now :naughty:

I would not count on it happening automatically, but it you edit shipping (you can select that option for existing orders) it will update it without having to re-order.

:wtf: So, I didn't have to cancel all my preorders and reorder? Oh well, already done. Nice to know though. ;)

Hmmm, it seems like VAT is no longer being removed for US orders....?

so one for another! go figure!

I'm in Canada and they removed it. Did a test with Avengers.

It is listed at 27.99 EURO.

My cost is 23.52 EURO + 9 EURO shipping for a total of 32.52.

They lowered the shipping for me to 9 EURO from 14 EURO. I changed my shipping and it updated me to the new shipping rate.
