I dont know how long I will do this, or if people have questions ... but I'll check this thread daily in case people have questions about steelbooks etc. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability from what I am allowed to say in some cases or just info you may not have seen me drop before in past threads.

When it comes to job losses, Companies are careful not to leak info beforehand in case of potential legal claims for failure to follow redundancy regulations. The last people to know are usually the ones it affects.

If you like the USA steelbooks then sure grab them. At $9.99 USD that makes it pretty darn cheap when converted to GBP. They can all 3 be shipped priority mail international flat rate for $16.95 fyi. WB, so region free.

I'll have to check on those ... they may come back as while only 4k was made/ordered ... they refill their stock as they sell so they dont have 4k of each in their warehouse etc. Paramount titles however they had all 4k up front.

No, and very sad news. However, I have more faith then most in regards to them being able to bounce back and still have a presence in all the collector's hearts in our community with titles, info etc.

The biggest thing that Play has done for the steelbook collector community is they have educated many UK studios in the process. Most UK studios know what it is we want as collectors thanks to the trial and error of 2012 that was headed by Play.

There's quite a few people who aren't letting this get the best of them and I expect that even with sad news such as this they will bounce back more determined then ever. I wouldn't count them entirely out just yet. I'm thankful for all they have done for the steelbook collector community so I'm definitely rooting for them!

Problem is Best Buy don't ship to the UK, so I'm out on a limb unless some fellow ninja wishes to help out

Scotty many of us are in the same boat when international retailers won't ship to our location. Group buys have allowed 100's of our members to acquire items they may otherwise need to hunt down later at much higher prices. It is usually better to buy it upon release. While we can't always convince retailers to assess and change their shipping policies there ate definitely good friends over time, who will help. Happy collecting, everyone!

Nope, never worked in a Best Buy ... worked at a Target for like a year once. (about 7-8 years ago...)
