I dont know how long I will do this, or if people have questions ... but I'll check this thread daily in case people have questions about steelbooks etc. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability from what I am allowed to say in some cases or just info you may not have seen me drop before in past threads.

I'm pretty sure I saw an announcement of a new Steelbook release of Disney's Up but can't seem to find it via Search or scrolling the pages. Am I wrong?

It's a BluFans release, it won't be more than the first couple of pages on the Steelbook forum, was announced with Minsters University, Hen New Oz film and a couple of others

Will Aladdin be coming back in to stock at some point in the near future or has it completely sold out?

thanks in advance

Everything pretty much follows the Play tactic of last year .... as cancellations build they then bring back to work through those. But ... if they only have a small amount of cancellations then I think they hold the qty till after all shipments have gone out and cast judgments on damages etc.

ps.

Less than 1k remain.....

Whasssssuppp Wreck,

Is there a reason why zavvi keep rising there prices on SB's ie WFRR @£15 to Finding Nemo @ £17 and now jungle book and little mermaid at £23

Have they cottoned on they can make some good cash off us collectors?

Hey Wreck,

Why do The Little Mermaid and The Jungle Book cost 5 GBP more than Aladdin?
All of those movies are Disney releases and you would think that Zavvi would get massive discounts from Scanavo / Disney for releasing so many steelbooks, but they keep raising their prices!

Hi guys :)

I'd like to see about setting up a GB for some friends & I for those Oz 3D & Face Off SteelBooks from Blufans, but I know absolutely 0 about them :emb:

Can you guys enlighten me?
I gather that Blufans is the Chinese equivalent to HDN, but that's about it...

Thanks in advance,
-Rod :oohyeah:

LM and JB ..... first time on blu-ray. Aladdin is already on blu-ray. That's why the pricing is as such... Disney set it.

What people really dont realize is how lucky we are that zavvi secured these as opposed to them going to someone like amazon as then the qty would be 3x the print run. When its all said and done, the collectors will win in the end.

I know the pricing sucks, and Zavvi doesnt like it either .... (believe it or not) but overall I'm still excited and this pricing is kind of like the max I want to pay for these steels. I rest easy by looking at my Disney collection from 2009. They all have doubled in pricing and some even tripled and more ... Disney steels when done right always appreciate in value ... so at least they have that working for them.

Earlier today I noticed the conversion rate was $35.xx

The Best Buy steels were $34.99 + tax ... so around $38.xx for some. I remember it being crazy as FS CA released them first and we were all having to pay high CA shipping on the groupbuys on top of that. Then best buy USA dropped them all on one day.

Some were lucky to catch a sale in the US tho for first week. Well I'm ranting ...

Hi wreck. Thanks for all the info you pass on. I'd like to know, is there any possibility Fist Of The North Star (anime) will ever be released. Steelbook or not. I really want that on blu ray!!

You would not be able to purchase the Blufan Exclusives, you need to know somebody in China and have them get them for you. So we leave the GB's to our good buddy bluraysteel.

Thanks for the reply... Didn't know it was the first blu-ray release, I am not really following the Disney blu-ray releases. So if it's the first blu-ray release, 22.99 is a normal price for a Disney Steelbook :).
