I dont know how long I will do this, or if people have questions ... but I'll check this thread daily in case people have questions about steelbooks etc. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability from what I am allowed to say in some cases or just info you may not have seen me drop before in past threads.

Wreck I know you probably get bombarded with people asking about specific titles, but I am praying for a couple titles myself. Like the Punisher movies any/all of them, any chance they will get steel releases?

Also is X-Men 2 a possibility, we got X-Men from he UK recently, and I would really like to complete my set.

Wreck, what's up with the Thor & Captain America re-release/reprint?!
Zavvi just ripped off thousands of collector's who paid good money for these steelbooks, these were the holy grails and steelbooks like Thor & CA made collecting fun. Now every STEELBOOK can get a re-release when a company smells money... ?

They arent reprints ... and all comic book movies get more editions pumped out practically yearly ... any movie that is a franchise leaves the door open for that. I welcome these 2 ... its more so worrying about what the other Countries will do as alot of times they like to put out a steel of the first movie to help promote the one coming to theaters. ie. What will Germany do of Thor in preparation of Thor 2? I'd worry more about them ... but they usually make a low-class 2nd edition but keep same art. (Germany)

These will be new art, and shouldnt affect the originals too much as people love the Captain America original steelbook more than they even love the movie .... its cause its awesome art.

idk ... but it shouldnt be the ones zavvi are doing as they are exclusive and not a global run.

There's a shared Moon steel in DE. fyi. (tho it doesnt look great) Also I believe it just got a metalpak or something with that black art.

1. Just wondering if we are going to see any of the premium summer releases getting steel treatment in the US. There hasn't been a major announcement in the US for a while.

2. Is best buy still in the steelbook market? Seems target has taken over that mantle lately. Would love to see BB back in the game. Their CS is way better and we dont have to worry about orders being abruptly cancelled with no prior notification.

That was in response to a specific release. LM and JB. My question is in regards to the general steel market in the US. concerning Moon, yes, there is the double steelbook with Source Code and Moon, and how you stated correctly, it doesn't look very good And there is that strange lenticular version I have never seen in store, only in the Saturn online shop.
Too bad that there is no cool steelbook for Moon itself in sight.

Hi Wreck, I posted in numerous threads today about how Zavvi should concentrate on new titles and not re-releases. So... I had a quick sift through the Steelbook Feedback forum and found the following titles which all had fifty or more 'yes' votes. If that's not enough to convince Studios/Zavvi to release them, then I don't know what will.

I agree, it's hardly ever visited or posted in. As for The Day After Tomorrow, well I'm amazed it hasn't got a Steelbook already. It seems like the perfect blockbuster type movie that usually gets a Steelbook. I liked it though, not a great film but enjoyable nevertheless and clearly very popular.
