I dont know how long I will do this, or if people have questions ... but I'll check this thread daily in case people have questions about steelbooks etc. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability from what I am allowed to say in some cases or just info you may not have seen me drop before in past threads.

Wreck did you have any influence on the artwork for from dusk till dawn if yes well done best artwork i have seen in years

I know I had nothing to do with the back and inside. I respectfully begged in a sense for the Selma scene on the front and made strong mention that FDTD had been done a few times ... and if your gonna do it then you need to do it right. They went out of their way to take the extra time to get the art signed off on ... had to pass through US / Hollywood. Ultimately I'm not sure how much I influenced any of it, but they were very receptive of my opinions so who knows ... maybe 1% sir wreck'm in there. Hats off to Zavvi product buyers for taking the time ... This is what is going on right now with Jackie Brown and I didnt mention anything in regards to scenes ... so it'll be a surprise me to what comes from that as well. I just simply made it clear that it too has a few steelbooks so to do another JB we need it done "right".

My problem is that the Zavvi international tracking they make you pay for, is a fake.They just send a normal delivery.
Finding a solution? You must be kidding right?We are talking about the incompetents customers service of Zavvi.
Amazon take care really good cares of the customers.My problem would have been solved in 30 minutes with them.

Somebody in a other thread told me to contact you about my problem.
I don't even know what you can/can't do for that or why he told me to contact Wreck.Don't want to sound rude if you can't help and don't work with or for Zavvi.

No I dont work for zavvi, I work for the steelbook collecting community. I feel for you in regards to Zavvi customer service as in all honesty it seems all I ever hear is negative things. Zavvvi arent as big as some may think and I think that while slow on some fronts they are steady trying to imrpove everything. Rome wasnt built in a day. They are reading all the bad wrap on their cust. service ... I can only hope that for the sake of all us they are working hard diligently behind the scenes to fix these issues. They are very receptive on learning diff types of steel damges and I'm trying my best to help them in regards to avoiding more in the future. But its not like the guys I talk to are packing up the steels ... so things can often get lost in translation. This is no different then some of the strides we all experienced with Play.com last year ... I played a part in the improved packaging and zavvi also got improved packaging ... but nothing happened overnight.

I also think that the reason why people may have forwarded you to me in regards to your problem is that I have a history of being able to pull alot of internal strings .... thing is, that isnt with zavvi. That history was with Play.com. When people's orders got canceled, I coudl get them reinstated, and many other things .... But at the end of the day ...we're talking 2 diff companies ...

My reference to solution was just being able to work the system in favor for you without having to deal with the cust. service as I've heard its bad. That was all ... If you so choose to take your money elsewhere then hey man that's your perogative. Do you.

My uk nemo was slashed and so was the shrinkwrap on both copies I ordered. So zavvi did it.

I would have to agree. I passed the message a long (when I experienced the same) and they are looking into working with warehouse crew. Box cutters

I can make mention but I'm not sure exactly why its like this ... could be for reasons that cant be moved. ie. Scanavo factory schedules. You have to book your dates.

this is a whole different topic we talking about here.
your quote was from the discussing releasing no catalogues so we can get more new releases, i actually want that catalogue titles getting released, some of them more than new releases.so i just want the disney steels spread a bit and not releasing all in the same month. it's a diffrent between that and wanting no catalogue titles at all. i also never disagreed with your post in that quote so i'm confused. but we may should start a pm conversation for further discussions to not boring people off.

I was just wondering if the US GI Joe retaliation steel will have a similar premium finish to the UK Entertainment Store release or is it more special?

Also, I see in your thread that you say + slipcover so does that mean the US is a getting a slipcover ?

i was wondering for quite some time now....the steels that we dont know the print run (aka 4k run /5krun/etc)
how much do they print?
for instance the new Japan wave only Prometheus is 2k the rest?
or little mermaid and jungle book...are the numbers high of all the releases that dont specify?

Just because we dont know the print run, doesnt always mean its above 4k. Really only Zavvi and Play were the ones who were most often announcing the print run and thats just because they are retailers who "get it" .... When I say "get it" that doesnt mean im saying they are perfect and get everything, but I'm saying they atleast understand that stating if a steel is 4 or 5k is good marketing.

Go look at amazon.de or amazon.fr and you never seen print runs.

But there have also been 4k runs on them as well ... far and few between ... but point is just because someone doesnt announce it as 4k doesnt mean it cant be .....

As for prometheus japan ... amazon.co.jp marketed it as 2k ... but yet I bet the overall run was larger as other Japanese retailers got it. I suspect its just that amazon.co.jp only picked up 2k. I'm not sure of that, but I wouldnt put it past them. I might be able to get that answer tho and officially confirm if you so like.

LM and JB were not open orders .... They had a set qty and then because of the sales being so fast, they did increase. Supposedly I will able to announce the qty at a later date this month. Product buyers can do whatever they want to best market the steels ... and I got rules to play by too at many times.

Some might think the qty was high ... but I personally dont. Sure in the end RR and Aladdin being much less might be worth more in the aftermarket for a very long time ..... but in a couple years from now it will just be whatever is more popular will be worth the most.

I've seen titles of the same print run sell out in a week here in the states so I'm fine knowing it will still end up being a great steelbook to have and many folks should have not missed out. Just feel sorry for those poor saps who will start collecting next year.

But at the end of the day, just buy what it is you like man.

walmart had the picture on their site for a while when you hovered over the image.

I will not confirm anything yet on this and will allow the retailer to break more info as they so choose.

no no i get you...i wasnt expecting such a detailed answer but never the less...thank you for that...i was just wondering why some specify and some dont...it has nothing to do with what i buy and/or the market value at a later stage...i just like the sound of/ and the knowing of limited edition sets....
i am more or less a perfectionist and completionist if theres such a word...so id like to get them all

He can't announce officially until later. Wreck says so in his last post.... 5th paragraph down:
