I dont know how long I will do this, or if people have questions ... but I'll check this thread daily in case people have questions about steelbooks etc. I'll try to answer to the best of my ability from what I am allowed to say in some cases or just info you may not have seen me drop before in past threads.

Can anyone confirm what release of Iron Man 2 this is please? Also what the current value might be? It is in very good condition with a couple of VERY light surface marks, no dents or dings.

On the top right hand side of the back itsays "Made in Denmark"

Judging by the data sheet, it's Korean

It's Korean yes as bigrob said, all the other asian releases have only English on the back.

No, the data sheet is 'flat' and half way up on the left hand side part of the M on Marvel is cut off and on the right hand side that is cut off too with part of the bar code missing along with some text cut off as well.

Yup it 100% korean. Just checked all my IM2 and only the Korean version has the same data sheet

Any idea what sort of value? I recently acquired a IM FS and this was included in the package

Value wise I'm not entirely sure. I'd take a guess and say maybe between £60 - £80 for a mint opened steel

Am I allowed to ask a question about HDN awards in this thread or should that go somewhere else?

My question is: are all awards still available to us newer members or only the non-archived ones? For example, am I eligible for an Avengers award if I get enough thanks?

^^Yes. Just post you submission in the Community collections area under normal threads.

Awards that are LIVE are eligible ... awards in dojo (aka archive) are not. However if a person has posted a thread in those archived ones he can still link to that post and get "thanks/likes" and get the award.

granted all awards come back every so often dependent on a few things. Sure i guess some never come back, but in the case of Avengers for instance around time of Avengers 2 (ie. next year ...) it will be back.

Sometimes when new movie editions come out for home media market we also bring it back to semi celebrate the new release of a special edition and give people a chance to gain said awards.

Sometimes we do a contest and the winner can choose an award to come out of dojo for a week/month etc. So there is chances essentially for all to show face again albeit for limited times.

Hey Wreck, questions for you that's not title specific, so hopefully you can answer.

1. Does Best Buy/Target/Walmart have any upcoming steelbooks that haven't been officially announced?

2. Is there any chance HDN would start carrying steelshell type protective sleeves?

There's certainly a recent trend of people wanting them (I've seen at least).

Ordering from some suppliers can be tedious, having to wait 1-2 months for German shipping to work it's way through (though a quality product).

Maybe even get a little www.hidefninja.com custom printed on them (Kimchi style)

What are the chances of re release of popular titles such as the marvel movies. these are obviously very popular titles and highly sort after judging by the prices they go for second hand and as such will the powers that be decide to take advantage of their popularity and re release them, thus enabling people to complete their collections at sensible prices.
I realise this would be very frustrating for people who have paid alot of money for OOP steelbooks but they would still have original print runs which should hopefully maintain their exclusivity.

marvel titles do get re-released. Perhaps once a year globally at least.

Usually they have diff art thus collectors are ok with it. Uproars and pitchforks come out if the original grails get same art.

golden rule : you can do it again for new collectors but DONT do the exact same thing. Sometimes this happens, but rare. Some tides are turning high up above that hopefully will add more strength to our hobby. (cant talk about it)
