nice to see all these ebay auctions with "stolen" pictures...
almost a month till you receive your copies..but already selling it.

Guess eBay scalping is a bit of a double edged sword; on one hand, people profiting from selling steelbooks (or any other collectible) can be frustrating at best, but on the other hand, this is many peoples only options to own said steelbook.
As I've stated before, I didn't start collecting sb's until last March/April time, so a lot of the films I wanted (Play's Iron Man, HMV's Cap America/Thor for example) had long sold out, and my only chance of owning these was by paying over the odds on eBay.
If Nova limited each customer to only one copy yesterday and presuming that everyone who grabbed a copy was a collector, then we wouldn't see any of these in circulation on eBay, meaning people who came to this late wouldn't be able to own this....

hey folks, let's keep the retailing talk and scalping talk out of the release thread. you can move the chatter to the NOVA retailer thread, and we also have a dedicated section to chat about ebay and high prices in the trading forums.

further posts from here will be moved to the appropriate threads.

thanks!

Do we have confirmation as to whether or not this will be region locked? It says Region A on the website but the US (Region A) version of this was previously region unlocked. Just wonderin'

Fairly certain it will be region free.

Can someone recommend some form of protection (polybag / hard plastic) that will fit this, thanks.

I would actually go for some of those plastic bags we've used for jumbo steelbooks previously.

I think I still have some of those around, I think I bought 50 of them or something lol

Not sure where I am going to put this one, was thinking of having a separate section of shelving dedicated to steelbooks with slips

The lenticular version will become one of the most sought after steelbooks in circulation and will easily eclipse the fetchings of Thor 2 Kimchi by next year.
I agree. Marvel steelbooks are often very sought after and this will be the definitive version of this very popular film. Not to mention people wanting the lenticular to accompany their other marvel lenticulars. Not that I care, I'm not in it to sell but it does make the game more interesting.

You not thought of a steelbook stand, so you can show it off in all its glory?? Something like this deserves to be a centrepiece...

The Lenti is super nice, but I discovered that if there is a lenti, I prefer when it is attached to a FullSlip Box like Blufan Frozen(and not on a slip, like a blu-ray slipcover).

For this release, for me, what made me fall for it are the 3 FullSlips that complement each other to make the 3 slips a nice version of The Avengers. I just love that it feels clean, not too busy and that all 3 together make for a sublime Avenger release. I just found the idea very fresh as it was about time that someone did something unique to distinguish the release from all of the same artworks of all the gang together that are out there everywhere.

And for the Lenti, the Picture is definitely the nicest of All The Avengers I have ever seen.

I'm so glad I got in on this yesterday, looking back it was quite fun on here while we waited.
But after the crap I have had to deal with Zavvi over a damaged copy for their edition and not getting a replacement I am looking much more forward to this release.
