Mine finally arrived. The wife ordered me a copy for my birthday as well as a friend so I now own 3 copies of the same edition! Thing is I am a massive steelbook collector it was a dead cert I would already have pre-ordered it! Lol.

Here's my vid. I will be adding another one comparing this edition with the German release too - I wonder which one comes out on top



BTW One of mine has a scratch right across the spine too! It's sounding like it is quite an issue!

Once again Disney have managed to screw up another release!

Not only do we get screwed over on the content, we also get the edited version!

3 with the scratch/cut on the spine
1 with the most unsightly blemish on the cover (that looks oddly like the alien in Paul!)

So, when I went to school that would be a 44% fail rate - that's got to be bad?...

Even though mine were ok, I feel so angry for everyone else.

Just for your information. regarding The Avengers Assemble HMV Exclusive Steelbook. One of the rocket scientists who work in your warehouse has intelligently decided to open all the boxes containing this steelbook with a stanley knife which has resulted in over 50 % of the products being damaged with scratch marks, dents or worse along the middle of the spine and front cover.
Online steelbook forums are filling up with complaints , you may care to take a look.

Makes bad reading for HMV's reputation, dsoesn't it ?

I ordered 4 copies from you and am returning 3 of them due to unacceptable damage.

Perhaps someone from above could tell the mastermind contestants who work in your warehouses that opening cardboard boxes of premium steelbooks with a sharp edged stanley knife is not a good idea ? Certainly not a good idea for HMV profit margins

Just the sort of sympathetic email which will ensure the understanding member of staff in the warehouse dispenses of said sharp object next time they see an order for one Mr. T. Bunny...

...and replace it with a sledge hammer!

My 3 copies arrived today also with a knife cut along each of the spines. All going back.

Clumsy idiots.

I used to manage a warehouse taking in Blu Ray product and if I saw an employee slashing open boxes with a Stanley knife I would make sure that person understood not to do it again.

I hope the complaints reach far enough down that those responsible are encouraged to be more careful.

I honestly thought it was only me that thought like that lol. It always seems to be the same people who get the slashed spines... the more they complain, the more it seems to happen. Whereas myself on the other hand... I keep quiet and give HMV credit where and when it's due, and I'm yet to receive a damaged steel from them. Kind of strange, eh?
