I got Hunger Games on the Saturday from HMV after a Tuesday dispatch.

Same here, usually anything sent out on a Tuesday from HMV will arrive on Saturday for me, so I'm hoping mine will be delivered tomorrow.

The German is DTS-HD.

Am I right in thinking that MA is not quite as good? ie a Higher level of compression?

Blu rays should have a longer play time due to the frames per second.

The running time could be that of the UK DVD which suffers from 4% PAL speed up.

Wish Avengers was with Paramount. Look how Disney has messed up this release.

UK seems faster due to FPS. You are correct.

I believe you meant the UK DVD and not the Blu-ray. If it was the latter it would be madness on the Studios part.

MA = Master Audio, which is 100% lossless.
