If youve actually seen the movie you should know why.
Feature some but not all is always stupid if were gonna talk about all of them as they cant fit. Why Panther and and not Rocket or Strange for an example? They had a much bigger part in the movie.
The original avengers makes perfect sense, or go with all the new "avengers". Not some strange mix that doesnt make any sense.

You said first of all it should only be the original Avengers, so that's 4 (or 5 if you count Black Widow).

However...

I have seen the film and I know what you are getting at due to them being the last ones left but why should that alone be the reason for only the originals to feature on the front of a steelbook?
Other characters stories were highlighted and featured more frequent in this film... Gamora and Strange for example, but you wouldn't just have the original avengers and those other characters scattered around them as it looks
completely random, out of place and potentially 'spoilery'. The inside art mixes it up a bit having representation from the team of the original Avengers, The Guardians, Wakanda and Shield... but i'm not overly keen on it tbh.
As this (and next year) is the culmination of all movies in the MCU so far and all characters teamed up together then surely that makes more sense in featuring them all? It's a film about them all, not just the originals.
i think next year will likely focus on the originals as well as a certain newcomer so that steelbook will be best placed for that.

It's poster art and these designers do know what they are doing y'know.

Love the steel. Sure I also think it would’ve been better to switch the front and back, but it’s nitpicking really. Now I’m super excited to see the slips!

I will buy this release, but I honestly feel the back art is much superior than the front. The only reason I can think of them coming into that decision is because another retailer beat them to it as a front artwork?

Although we may never hear a direct feedback from Blufans themselves whether they simply want to avoid copying @Noodles ' concept art, I hardly think this is the case. It's easy for any of us to draft or put together 2 official fan pleasing posters; there are only few to begin with. I would like to think that there is a legitimate business reason retailers do not immediately share their artwork as they may be bounded not to disclose it during the approval process. I guess what I am saying is that they have restrictions to comply to meanwhile us, fans, do not. Just my 2 cents.

True, but Blufans have shown that they're willing to make changes if there's a fan consensus in any given direction:

- Front steelbook art changed on The Force Awakens WEA: Ensemble poster used in favour of Kylo Ren's face
- Black Panther single lenti slip was changed to feature Shuri on the back instead of Okoye
- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 single lenti front & back switched
...and others...

All changed due to customer feedback on forums like this.

I think it's great that Blufans listen, despite knowing their releases will sell out regardless of the artwork. Shows they care about their customers and not just their bottom line.

Exactly.

Blufans is an interesting company. They don't seem to ever put their merchandise up for general sale, the edition size are relatively small (not in respect to the premium sellers, just in general), they don't have an active web store, and as far as I can tell they seem to sell exclusively to forums and resellers so clearly they take fan feedback to heart given their track record. It matters to them, and its why they're one of my favorite company who makes these premium releases.

It's not like people are criticizing the artwork they picked, just the orientation. Its the same situation as Guardians 2.

Exactly what i also said. If anything, then focus on the new rooster and those with bigger arcs in the movie. "Strange", Gamora, Thor, Iron Man, Vision. There is really no point in having Cap, Hulk, Widow and Panther on there.

I would have liked to seen the images reversed, the title is hiding Thanos...not a big deal in any other film but it's f***** Thanos. It's kind of his movie in a way and is the big bad they've been leading up to for the past 10 years, not to mention he's not a forgettable villain like some other Marvel ones.

So yeah switch the covers and maybe get a Thanos (solo or with a character) for the interior art.

Being Blufans I'm guessing there's time to change it? I've seen it done before I think unless I'm mistaken.

I approve of this cover, both front and back. The inside tho should have been the gems. Not 7 "random" characters. The front is correct because it leaves a black frame and doesnt stretch the picture from corner to corner, a much better presentation if you ask me.
