No it's True it is Pricey but With The WWA Steelbook is costly to start With, for me if I'd want just the WWA Steel its already half the price of the FAC edition, so to pay the rest to get all the bells and whistles its a no brainer

Personally unless you really must have the FA slip and extras it would be cheaper to buy the HMV steel £20, the UK 4K release £20 and the OST £11.
You'd get the full 30 track soundtrack rather than the 13 track one in this, the same Blu-ray discs as you get with this and it will be roughly £20 cheaper. You'd also have an extra copy of the movie on Blu-ray to sell off is you wanted to offset the cost even more.

Just my thoughts.

IMO the yellow of the WWA Steelbook offers a nice break in the design ''Pink color'' scheme that is present on every piece in the FAC Edition.
To remove the only other color (yellow) from this edition only to replace it with another Pink item would be bland, way too much Pink.

Im done with FAC collecting 2 monthes ago.
Can you atleast find out and respond to the collectors why FA have gone completely mad with the prices? I truly feel sorry for FAC collectors who pay 1710 + shipping for an average flick and artwork? And dont come back with soundtrack and 4k is that expensive.. The prices in general have gone from 5/600 czk to an average of 1100 czk in 2/3 years with 5 editions, maniac box and regulare boxset, CRAZY!!.. dont support this milking company. 2018 prices will be around 1500 czk and with 4k 2000 czk... Within 2/3 years BD disk are history, just like DVD. And you have spent a shitload of money to just put all in the attic.. 4k and 8k is the future and will soon replace BD. And within 10 years CD in general is dead!

And I agree about their pricing. They saw the opportunity for big bucks and just got greedy Used to love my bang-for-the-buck-blind-buy-FAC's All good things come to an end unfortunately. A more selective nature is required now

Its not just FA, WW from Manta was 190 usd (one click) and blufans GOTG 2 170 usd? i just sold my entire FA collection and went on 1 week holiday with my wife and kid in greece, and still have money left...

Just saying in a few years BD will be just like DVD, useless

I am not defending FA pricing which I think is getting ridiculous.
BUT
IF someone keeps buying 1clicks of every edition from most premium retailers then unless you are incredibly wealthy THEN ISNT IT BLOODY OBVIOUS THAT IT IS NOT SUSTAINABLE FOR LONG AND YOU HAVE TO SELL YOUR PRECIOUS COLLECTION.

Were a ways away from 4K being the standard. Most people like my parents who bought a really nice Panasonic 1080P plasma could care less. They won't replace that TV until it breaks. I have a 4K TV and my sister whos 38 can't tell the difference with my 4K and Preamp/Amp upscalling the HD broadcast of the NFL game.
Even when I threw in GOTG 2 4K she said that she could tell on my 65 inch Samsung. Now 3D she andcsome of my boys like on my other TV, but that's niche.
I don't think the change from DVD to Bluray which got a lot of help from broadcast TV really embracing the change and a ton of people owning the PS3. 4K has been out for what 4-5 years now. DirecTv has 3 stations and some Payperview you can order. Cable I don't even think will have the bandwidth. How many networks are even talking about switching over to 1080P even let alone 4K?
Yeah Netflix and You Tube have a few options which will slowly grow but call me skeptical. Plus how many people are going to pay to upgrade there Blurays for 4K copies. I could be wrong but the average person doesn't care. plus even if they do somewhat are they going to spend to replace all those titles. I see a very slow transition that is going to take a number of years.

Cannot speak on behalf of FA about Baby Driver, because I dont know how much it costs if they are adding 4K discs and soundtrack to their edition so cant judge.

But speaking about their prices a lot has changed since 5/600 CZK per their first FACs . Just compare the first Maze Runner with the second one. You have much more bonuses, lenticular magnets, more art or special cards, their booklets are better quality and thicker, the overal fullslip quality is better too plus the latest front sticker is a nice touch as well.

Checking some of their latest releases the price range is between 900 CZK and 1100 CZK, and when I look at other retailers releasing premium editions I think its pretty much the same, in some cases other retailers have even higher prices. And everyone is still buying so Im not surprised they havent changed their prices when they see its still selling. I think collectors would have to stop buying their products to make them lower their prices and because they are still popular I dont think thats happening anytime soon.

It isnt cheap if you want to collect all and its really hard to keep up when there is so many retailers with quality editions being released regularly. I guess we have to be more selective these days or start thinking about becoming organ donors

Almost everything you say is true and i agree but couple of things

4K has been out for what 4-5 years now.

4K physical discs were released in 2016. I think they were announced early in the year but i didnt actually start seeing them in-stores until summer.

Yeah Netflix and You Tube have a few options which will slowly grow but call me skeptical.

I dont think the movies are true 4k. Their shows are filmed 4k so that's different. Plus, even if a true 4k option exists, not everyone has the luxury to stream 30 - 50GB per movie. They have to worry about speed/cap issues from ISPs.

I don't think these photos really showcase how the steelbook truly is. You can see some lighting issue as pictures come off as Green and others yellow...

I just saw in store yesterday the Blu-ray Slipcover for Baby Driver and the Slip was very disappointing. It's simply a Glossy Slip with No other treatment and the Image is not as ''airy'' as the one on the FAC Slipcover. It is FILLED with Text, way too Busy and the image is zoomed in and Not as Classy as the FAC Image for the Front of the Fullslip.

Really Classy Slip from FAC (after seeing the slipcover for the Blu-ray really Happy I went for this edition huge Difference)
