I considered doing this previously but I could not be arsed in going through the many zavvi customer services messages I would have to do just to get €1.00 refunded :p

I was thinking the same thing. On the other hand, 20 items like this means one of the Disney steelbooks for free :)
Then again, 1€ shipping is still a bargain, so I probably won't do this very often :p

Me too. Besides, my therapist would charge me far more than 1.00 GBP to help me deal with the stress that Zavvi would put me through to get a refund on the shipping.

"Basil" should naturally be part of the title here as it has been in every UK release including VHS

particularly as the intrepid mouse's moniker is an hommage to the most famous of the residents of 221b, Baker's St., W1. - Basil Rathbone, whose name will of course be familiar to Sherlock Holmes fans the world over.

One slight but excusable error is that as far as I remember the real Basil never smoked a Calabash pipe in any of the classic Sherlock Holmes films - 1939 - 1946 - unlike the animated Basil -- maybe staying true to the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes stories where that kind of voluminous pipe is never mentioned as being part of Holmes' pipe collection.
(Calabash pipe = the perfect armchair pipe for movie watching and for contemplation).

Usually this one works for the first cca 15 minutes, then it's disabled:

Add item to basket, then
Then click this link
Go to Basket
Then use code WELCOME346
Thank you

As someone in the UK I will find it weird if the Basil part is missing :emb:
Preordered! I hope they keep the proper ORIGINAL title currently on there.
I hope the title is corrected to the proper UK one.

It’s always been Basil. Think I even still have the OG VHS from when I was a kid

I happened to look this up on IMDB today and it even shows on there as Basil, The Great Mouse Detective original title The Great Mouse Detective.

I'm surprised it's listed like that there.

My Amaray version has Basil on the front
As of late I have just been dipping in and out of collecting steels
These latest Disney/Zavvi releases have given me a renewed interest in the steelbooks
Please Disney carry on with the remaining missing steels

It's listed in the Disney Classics Complete Movie Limited Edition Box Set 1937-2018 as Basil The Great Mouse Detective:

Also interesting to see that they've added:

Please note: for the Blu-ray collection that the 5 films below are DVD discs as they are not available on Blu-ray:
  • Saludos Amigos (1943)
  • The Three Caballeros (1945)
  • Make Mine Music (1946)
  • Melody Time (1948)
  • The Black Cauldron (1985)

Question. How many times have you watched UK releases of films with subtitles that are using American words like color or humor. So why would the titles be any different?

And it still breaks me when I see those words spelt like that.
