I got a handful of these, mainly for friends. What i would say on the steelbook is that i think it is actually really nice. The em/debossing is well done, and the metallc red that's not picked up well on most of the photo's here looks really cool.

On the finish... like i said the SB looks the biz but to try to explain, if you think of a car paint job that's not been done by an actual car manufacturer, that probably best explains how this finish looks. It's good enough but could have been better. What is strange is that there seems to be a spot in exactly the same place on all the SBs that looks as if its been brushed/smoothed over as if someone has tried to restore a mistake, its ever so slight but its on all of them?

Final word though, if you like/love the movie or want a decent looking SB, you can't go wrong with this.

Gutted for you Soprano. Were the others ok?

Yeah, others were fine.

But I cant see how on earth this happened unless Play had some work experience kid in for the week.

The damage percentage for my steels are getting higher.

With the hassle and the fact everything is a SB theses days, its a lot less attractive buying them

Glad to hear the others wee fine at least. It's a tough one to work out how a steel in that condition got all the way to you without being spotted

I will have to have these in hand to make judgement about the finish. I think we too often think of premium finish as glossy. It doesn't have to be glossy to be premium.

Very true chip. I don't reckon you will be disappointed with the finish either. It isn't super glossy but the red paint has a shiny glossy feel to it and imo it works well. And the debossing is first class.

Mine finally arrived about 5.10pm yesterday and I was very happy to see that both I ordered did turn up mint. I'm now looking to trade my spare copy with a fellow collector who missed out on this beauty.

My play.com are always late because the driver said he only lives a couple of roads away so I'm his last delivery.

Is the sequel even on blu in the uk, I heard it was crap and little to no chance of a steel but can you even get it in any shape or form.
