Just wanted to point out in 'the do & don'ts of the forum' guide it says

Do NOT post: I just ordered 20x copies of Iron Man! or I have 5x copies of Iron Man for sale! This includes pictures of more than 3x copies as well.

I understand how you feel, trust me. But I'd say the likelyhood of finding a mint copy of this in store after this morning is slim to none. Especially given the fact that nearly every single copy has nicks on the spine. Not to mention, out of the 50+ copies I inspected between 3 different stores today, I only managed to find about 4 perfect copies. This edition is now OOS. GOOD LUCK.
If this post doesnt highlight you may have an issue a doctor should look at.....and ive been there myself

A while ago a I commented on the decline in quality in US steelbooks and this is just another example. The last US glossy steelbook I bought (and kept) is Target's Evil Dead. I really wanted to like and buy this Big Hero 6 steelbook, the artwork for it is pretty much perfect all around. As I read the comments here about the countless paint chips, my expectations were reassured. Then I went to Target and saw that all the 10 copies they had suffered from paint chips on the front and spine edges. Ive decided not to get it, artwork this good deserves better quality. It's just something about the paint they use now that feels so thin, chips too easily and produces too many fingerprints. It also feels like the metal is not as sturdy as before. Maybe its a combination of both that causes all the imperfections. I remember when the Viva metal box was introduced, I thought they were nice but slightly inferior to a steelbook. Now I find myself missing them, there probably would've been one for this movie if they were still around. Oh well.

I always thought the "thinness" people refer to is the fact that the debossing actually makes the steel weaker. So wouldn't that affect any steel embossed/debossed? Frankly, that doesn't bother me because I thought it affected all of them.

FOR THOSE WHO ORDERED ONLINE REFUND HAS BEEN ISSUED.

Check your email this morning. Target issued a refund for the difference between online price and store price.
Just got my refund too!! Was going to call but awesome they did it themselves. Saves me time from having to deal with customer service

Unfortunately, I have yet to receive such a refund. I paid $24.99 for it with just the 5% RedCard discount.

I complained about the quality of the SteelBook, and they offered me a $5 refund but specifically for the fact that it came hosed on arrival.

Looks nice :)
But I am always curious, what do you do with so many multiple copies of different packing? You don't have trade thread too:confused:

Haha at this point I would need an assistnt to help maintain my trade thread lol

I've honestly never traded, but if you ever need assistance, I may be able to help just PM me in advance

The steel is debossed. There is a natural pop sound because the debossing forces a gap between the tray and the metal. When will people finally come to understand this?
I was thinking the same thing. The debossment of the cover has something to do with the popping sound. It makes the surface uneven.
