Important Group Buy update
Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.

Not sure why it hasn't been suggested before to be honest, it would be more practical for UK ninjas as you're just paying a few quid on top of the price to have it forwarded.

It's a perk that I only really use on Marvel but I do know people lose out on Disney/Star Wars releases etc.

If you wait for the gb here you miss out on securing one there as its first come first served with VIP allocations so the sooner I know the better

Kevin does publish a list of who's a VIP so it's easily gettable though surely impossible to police from HDN's point of view, it's like saying you cant shop at Zavvi because you shop at Amazon
We can let admin decide that.
My 2 cents worth.
We should do everything possible to stop people exploiting the system.
It may be difficult and may not amount to much but anything is better than nothing.
Sitting back and just saying people are free to exploit desperate collectors is no longer a option.

Yes but what you are forgetting amazon and zavvi can decline your custom if they feel you are a risk/abusing their services.

It’s no different from HDN and Kevin to decline your orders if they discover you are deliberately abusing the loophole for the rare highly sought releases.

One thing I can say for sure with this release for my GB is that it will be solely 1 x copy per member (no, 1 x one click along with 1 x double lenti, and 1 x single lenti etc). Just 1 edition.

That’s no problem at all. We will comply with HDN GBs conditions of what each member is eligible to order.

And what you're forgetting is while amazon and zavvi can decline your custom if they feel you are abusing their service that's only in terms of your orders with them specifically i.e. if someone orders 100 copies of the same steelbook from Zavvi and that's exactly what Kevin and HDN already do by limiting certain GB's to one per member

To put it bluntly it's none of HDN's or Kevin's business what an individual buys from a competitor.

I can see why certain collectors want others to be whiter than white and stick to a unspoken code when it comes to not finding loopholes to purchase multiple copies of a limited product but like I said I feel it would be impossible for anyone other than Blufans themselves to police such a thing as they're the only ones who know for sure as to what they're shipping where

Full disclosure that I am a VIP but also have ordered OAB's from here because the time has been more convenient (VIPs not allowed to preorder these) and/or I want to throw some GB fees to HDN for all their help. I have never double-dipped, am an active eBay seller and close to 100% of the time lose on my sales. I do not buy to sell because I am a steelbook collector first and foremost. I participate in far more GBs here than the other site although mostly FAC. I honestly like both sites but feel more at home here. It is a shame that there are those who jack the system to try to cash in on our obsession but I think it is high time that Blufans step up and police this themselves, I know other vendors who direct ship have done this for us so why can't they. The bloodbath was equal if not worse for the non-VIPs on the other site so this would benefit all.

The easiest would just be if everybody could just respect eachother enough to only buy what you actually want to keep. It’s crap that you need to even think about having to put restricions in place because some can’t just be good and respectful to all the other collectors fighting for a copy.

As for realistic restrictions, I definitely agree with only 1 choice of edition per person. And I like the 3-hour live window to make things a little harder. I think anyone caught exploiting the GB to get more than one copy (from either site) should be banned from participating in future GBs.

Why is it impossible?
Entirely possible to bar VIPs from HDN group buys.
As @Dano said it actually benefits everyone.

Honestly the only ones that can object are people with vested interests.

it only makes things harder for people who have jobs.
