Important Group Buy update
Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.

Yes, I am fully aware why a VIP is necessary. Changes need to be considered is what is eligible to become a VIP. As I said, the standard criteria of 35 Blufans is 3 years old now, if I am correct? Things have changed, changes need to be considered...

I am fully aware of your opinion over the loophole :p

When I first looked into the Blufans VIP program in Summer or Fall of 2015, the requirement had just risen from 15 to 20. I had 17 at the time. When I reached 20 several months later, the VIP requirement had risen to 25. When I reached 25, the requirement had just risen to 30. And so on. I now have 33 after Ragnarok, and I have no doubt that the requirement will rise to 40 by the time I reach 35.

Very frustrating.

This is a HUGE can of worms opened up here lol. More so than the usual (and very boring ) 4K vs 3D debates or sealed vs open, so please, carry on :p I'm intrigued :D:D

I'm simply arguing how hard I would imagine it would be for them to police it, if it's something they're capable of doing then good on them

Now are you going to answer my question?
It is a decision for HDN and Kevin and Blufans to make.

It's neither your business or mine.

If they decide for the benefit of the community to cooperate then it would be easy to implement.

It's a decision for Blufans to make, not HDN or Kevin.
Don't want to argue with you mate but it's a decision that surely HDN can make if they wanted to make it.

You already decide on restrictions for various GBs.
This would be another type of restriction.

Kevin mentioned some new rules for the next GBs? HDN doesn't need to do anything...Maybe restrict accounts with maybe at least 50 posts to join a Blufans GB to give regular members a better chance?

And if it is a decision for only Blufans to make, surely they're not bothered or will wish to pursue it. Why would they want to make yet more work for themselves when their releases sell out everytime anyway??? If it's down to morals and ethics etc, sadly I can't see that happening personally.

Unfortunately it encourages even honest collectors to behave like douche bag collectors in order to not miss out.

I've long thought members should have a certain post count before they can use the GB's but playing devils advocate again HDN are more than simply a internet forum and as such those bills have got to be paid somehow so totally understand not putting a cap on who can use the GB's (it would be like shop only letting certain people enter their store)

My silence is not by choice  I’m stuck in traffic and had a quick poke at this thread :giggle:

If you're going to police the group buys here and there then you may aswell factor in the third site that also runs group buys and also facebook that run groupbuys for various releases.

Banning Blufans VIPs here isn't going to stop people going to atleast two other sources to get copies. What is the issue here exactly, people missing out on copies or people getting copies and selling them on cause surely when someone pays for something its their choice what to do with it?

The fact is, anyone can make a paypal account with any email address, they can make several accounts here there and everywhere with different emails and if they really wanted to avoid tracability they could have copies sent to different addresses whether family or friends.

You are not going to stop multiple purchases or scalping.

The funny thing is, if you say "I purchased an extra copy to sell" you're a scumbag but if you buy an extra copy to keep sealed so the other one you can open, thats okay? You've still got two copies that has stopped someone else getting a copy. Double standard

You can restrict people here that do purchase via the VIP program but those members can have a one click, a double lenti, a single lenti and a quarter slip reserved for them... you might just end up getting people pushing back and taking the full allocation they can get over there which in turn will reduce the quantities available elsewhere.

Doesn’t matter what route we or anyone takes, we aren’t going to be able to please everyone and there will always be someone who will abuse the system.

Given how salty certain people are in this thread I'm guessing the former or at least the fear of it happening in the future :p

@ these Blufan ‘VIP’ boys. You two should be given a brand name for yourselves ;) Amusing watching you both defend the shopping baskets

And what you're forgetting is while amazon and zavvi can decline your custom if they feel you are abusing their service that's only in terms of your orders with them specifically i.e. if someone orders 100 copies of the same steelbook from Zavvi and that's exactly what Kevin and HDN already do by limiting certain GB's to one per member

To put it bluntly it's none of HDN's or Kevin's business what an individual buys from a competitor.

I can see why certain collectors want others to be whiter than white and stick to a unspoken code when it comes to not finding loopholes to purchase multiple copies of a limited product but like I said I feel it would be impossible for anyone other than Blufans themselves to police such a thing as they're the only ones who know for sure as to what they're shipping where

Sorry Tommy, you are just babbling on a load of crap mate that I’m in no need to exert any more energy into this post. We will agree to this disagree mate. ;)

Not as amusing as watching y'all trying to reinvent the wheel in an attempt to increase your chances of getting a steelbook

Oh Craig you think we are Salty because I don’t have your VIP status ROFL!?

Well you and your friend Tommy have taught me a few things.

I AM eligible as a VIP Blufans ;)
Just like I AM equivalent to a VIP with FA ;)
Should I decide to become Eligible or Not is my decision buddy.
I am going to Kevin and photograph all my Collectoon because I qualify into this measly 35 Blufan titles which to me is frankly pennies mate.
I will then set up fake accounts and commit fraud by falsely representing I am eligible to order ALL the editions that I am entitled to order using this duff account.
I will proceed to order with my so called VIP from Kevin.
Then I’m going to do the same on HDN.
Why? Because I just can, can’t I?
It’s not rocket science is it.
Don’t belittle me with all your crap mate.

I love how sore people get over steelbooks, it's really quite funny.

You have an ongoing dialogue literally for hours and then you come off with some pseudo piss take comment and when someone fires back you lose your mind

Do what you like mate, I quite frankly do not give a damn :)
