Important Group Buy update

Official update for all group buy participants -

The licensing agreement for Black Panther, for unknown reasons, still has not been resolved and because of this Infinity War will now be being released first (roughly early December time). The licensing agreement for Black Panther is looking to be completed around November time but because of the other releases (infinity War, Greatest Showman, Three Billboards), Black Panther will not ship until January 2019 at the earliest.

Infinity War will ship with the same editions (1/4 slip + Box, One Click, DL, SL and full slip)

Group Buy members, we have a couple of options for you -

1. Transfer
Your Black Panther request will automatically be transferred to the same edition to that of Avengers: Infinity War. You will then be guaranteed a spot for Black Panther, which will be charged for again later on in the year (or potentially January 2019)

2. Refund
You can cancel your Black Panther request and be refunded. Please note that should you change your mind afterwards we cannot allow you to repurchase Black Panther. At this time there will not be a further GB for it (however this may change although not guaranteed)

3. Wait it out
Wait for Black Panther to be released. If you decide to wait it out, as a thank you we will enter you into a HDN sponsored prize draw.

The official GB for Avengers: Infinity War won't be live until November.

I will be sending this as a PM to all participants tomorrow too with the relevant instructions.

I am guessing this will ship late October to early November and The Last Jedi mid To late October.

If this is the case, I hope Infinity War GB is delayed until Late November.

I’m just curious as to what the licensing issue actually is. It can’t be the license with Disney to release it, and it obviously seems they’ve been caught surprised by this issue. I’m sure it will be resolved but it is a little bit worrying still.

Official update from Kevin;

"First of all, Thanks all for patiently waiting!

I just got the confirmation that the release won't be out in Sept. and will possibly be out in Oct. However, it is still not fully guaranteed. I would like to clarify that the delay is bit unexpected and uncontrollable by Blufans and Disney China. Everything else is ready to go, but still waiting the media publishing permit from the government agency. Normally such a permit will be granted in 3 months after applying, but Black Panther has been taking for almost 5 months. A rumor said that is something to do with Mr. Trump's trade policy with China. I don't like politics and don't want to speculate on that. Hopefully things will be back to normal for all of us soon enough. And the delay is not only for Black Panther, and all other new releases have been in the similar situation. That is why things are bit quiet lately on Blufans side. As a result, all upcoming OAB and BE group buys will be suspended till further confirmation.

So had confirmation from Blufans that this will be delayed until October due to licensing issues (but they didn't say exactly what).

The Last Jedi will ship first and then Black Panther will be afterwards

As per my updates yesterday -

And that means what exactly? Just because the invoice deadline for them is the end of September (!!) does not dictate when Blufans will be ready to ship out.

As per Blufans -

But only good news is for The Last Jedi, the singles editions will be ready to be shipped out at the end of next week.
and the 1 Click at the end of the month (possibly first week of October)
