So have I got this right the 2d/3d steelbook in the UK is only getting bog standard dolby digital 5.1 on the 3D disc !
If so I will cancel my order right now ...... what muppets.

2D should be OK.
But yeah, if it's true I find it insulting.
Audios;
Sony 3D is 100% Dolby Digital only (640kbps)
Sony 2D is DTS HD MA 5.1 16-bit (2237kbps)
Warner 2D Dolby Atmos (TrueHD 7.1) 24-bit (4158kbps), I assume that's the same used in the 4K UHD
Warner 2D also has DTS HD MA 5.1 24-bit (3826kbps)

It is clear that Sony are determined to frustrate 3D consumers by making them to switch to the Standard Blu-ray or upgrade to 4K UHD.
Lossy audio on Blu-rays at this day and age by any big studio is simply unacceptable no matter what state the format is.

Will this be the case with all 3D discs of this blu ray then? For example if I settle for the HDZETA release.

Have to wait and watch. I am wondering if all Sony 3D releases will follow similar trend.
It's not really wasting money as they wouldn't be creating the track for the 3D version. The lossless track already exists so it's just a case of picking which one to include on any given disc.
Sounds like a manufacturing error to me.

Decent balanced artwork and not a bad looker in what appears to be a zero finish w/ spot glossed 'flash' and front/spine title.

Mine was despatched today from Zoom.
Had a problem on payment but got a call from 'Becky' and got everything sorted. Excellent custom service with these guys IMO.
Was even bumped to 'express post' so hopefully get it next week

How many copies did you order as they usually only do that if you ordered more than 2 and in some rare cases more than 1
