No but the point is FA I find are being a little crafty now, changing the original print run from 600 of each edition (before the official declared qty on FB) and making these small bumps in price. It’s not much increase but they are ‘milking the cow’ don’t you agree?
The official declared qty is what counts :p
Film Arena official qty always will be announced on Facebook
Facebook is used to announce live times and provide product images etc and release details

They did not change anything as it was not decided fully until they announced on Facebook the release details Qty for each edition
This was done on March 23rd

Anything listed on FilmArena website is subject to change before official pre order live date

It's no different to Kimchi/Nova/Manta using Facebook to announce release details and later announce any changes

Price change of E2 will most likely be posted on Facebook if it's changing before Start of pre-order on May 17
Price on website may change to be not 1399 by May 17th

Yes I am aware of the ‘official declaration’. Talking to you Mr Boland is like talking to a brick wall sometimes, no offence

Mr Boland you need to stop talking about facts etc. They intended to keep this at their standard 500 slips as they normally do. They probably been reading the hype and seen the demand and decided to bump this to a crazy print run.

We still don’t know the print for E5A or 5B do we? They can make up any old number depending on demand. Who knows? There’s a lot of stuff you don’t know behind closed doors. Now E2 is bumped in price. The money isn’t the issue. It’s their crafty conduct Paul that you need to reflect on - Milking the
Cow and taking the piss.

Where did FilmArena announce on Facebook at any stage they intended to keep this at standard 500 slips
I have never seen Film Arena post this about 500 slips be standard

Lot of their previous releases have had various qty for each editions

Facebook on March 23rd was when they they announced the qty for each edition

Okay Mr Boland, as you seem to rely on FB for information perhaps know how FA actually works and you can base some speculation on that rather than relying on FB.

For those that didn't know there are FOUR ways you can acquire an FA release that run in different stages.

STAGE 1 - On the FA website you can make a request for the slip as 'I want to buy it now'. This is way before any pre-order and GB and the 'official declared' print run on FB. When you make a request it will say the Qty. In this case it was 600 for ALL four editions. Now a lot of people don't have SCH (still collectible holders) or SCH higher than the actual print run it states when you make the order. A lot of people don't use forums either. This is the way to put the order in. There is NO guaranteed you be successful in this order.

STAGE 2 - GB's from forums such as HDN.

STAGE 3 - Pre-order for SCH

STAGE 4 - Official Live pre-order for Anyone - what is left over

Somewhere beteen Stage 1 and Stage 2 is where you will see the 'official delcared' print run on FB.

So FA can see the demand by Stage 1, all those requests I want to buy it now FA have taken them all and seen what the demand is. So all those requests they have had they obviously can see it will exceed supply. So my best bet is they have then increased the print run to the official declared information on FB and adjusted this on the website.

Regardless if it was declared on FB or not, FA are well ahead to know what the demand is and know when they can increase it. Other retailer's don't have this method of making an advance request of 'I want to buy it now'. They have to decide on a print run and stick with it. So as I said before it was 600 on each edition. From all the releases, except this, I have seen so far they have stuck with their numbers from what I am aware.

Website details often changed before goes live to pre order
FilmArena website has wrong info sometimes before been corrected

There has been lot of previous releases on Film Arena Website that had qty changes it's nothing new
Editions releases Qty have been varied some have been 1001/801/751/601/501/351 etc it can vary with each release and especially with WEA as these have larger overall print runs

There is no standard 500 that just your assumption

It's no different to what we see happen with Kimchi/Nova/Manta changing print run Qty's of a release to what was previously announced or listed on their websites
Changing One Click to be higher Qty as an example and reducing individual editions Qty's how many times you seen this happen

I don’t feel you can say that they’ve changed or increased a quantity when no edition size has been announced, even if there is a temporary number on the website. They might of course use the initial interest to set the final edition size but I don’t see anything wrong with that. Obviously it’s good for business to produce and sell more, but you can also say it’s customer friendly to meet a very high demand with a higher available quantity. It’s not like the numbers for each edition is astronomical high anyway, and if they one day get there they will probably also feel the «number collectors» and resellers disappear and hence lose sales there.

I'm referring to WEA with maniac boxes with E1 - E5!! Such as spider, apes for example, their big releases! Not ones such as Kingsman, Minions etc!! Did you cut this response from a template you had Paul lol? Anyway I'm done talking to you. I think we are on the wrong page. I shall peacefully end this debate with you Mr Boland.:stop:

Oh and Happy Easter Sunday :thumbs:

Look at Dredd E1-E5 and some others it varies
Some E4 maniac have been 401 or 701 or 501
Each release can have different Qty's and have done

The editions without the 4K discs are pointless as 4K disc tech specs outperforms the rest and done deliberately by Sony.
Lot have no interest in 4K UHD Discs as they don't have 4K TV setup
Majority consumers are still 2D/3D setup

4K disc is useless to some so it makes sense to have editions without the 4K disc to get sales of those releases

What I find Strange is that editions like TMR, Dracula Untold, The Equalizer, Whiplash were all at an Original Price of 599 CZK back then, now long time gone and they have increased the priced to 1299 CZK ?

What is the point of increasing the price of Items that are long OOS ? :wacky:

Yeah I noticed that lol  I think it's so new collectors and buyers think that's what it sold for and FA weren't that cheap before. Look at Passengers, that was 1100czk, it was on their website for 1400czk before being officially sold out. It's all these little things, bumping up the price of their editions, changing their website Qty on Stage 1 of the 'I want to buy it now' process and not declaring their E5 print run, not giving refunds but only store credits, I can' help but deny FA have a 'crafty' reputation! Although I do actually enjoy collecting FA's releases, and most of my collection is FA, they deserve criticism as much as anyone else does and positives where it is due.

Overall I think this will be a great release, looking forward to those XL slips and Maniacs box set. But don't be so crafty filmarena

FA are a wacky retailer, crafty....but wacky, I sometimes ask myself why I am still supporting them? :emb::p

Agree with what you said

I do like the fact that they release Premium Editions of movies other retailers are not really touching.
They can release really beautiful Packages

They are now (I think) the most expensive Premium Retailers out there. Do I still buy them ? Yeah
But I am more picky than I used to be, I have to already live beyond my means :hilarious:

Yes BR 2049 will be a Stunning Release they do make Great WEA Steelbooks. Really Looking Forward for this one.

I guess they are in this for the money, but what retailer isn't really ? Their QC is really Great though.

No Retailer is ever Perfect :wacky:
