I feel the same in regards to the XL slips... there's nothing wrong with how they look, but having them take up that extra little bit of shelf space is a major concern, especially when I'm already struggling for room as it is. What's actually the reason for them being larger from now on anyway?

I’m not sure if it’s the reason but a few of the editions came with extras that wouldn’t fit in. Miss peregrine came with extra art cards in a separate folder whereas these would have fit in a bigger slip. I actually don’t mind the big slips, they feel heavier and you get more content! I do understand why some people think they are too big though.

All I can think of is they're including wider/thicker wallets or envelopes for the extras?

Ah, that would explain it.

Honestly, I'd rather they just left out any other extra stuff like that so it meant slimmer slips, and more importantly a lower price tag!

But now I sound like I'm completely against XL slips, which isn't the case... they look great and I'm excited to see how they feel in hand.

I don’t own an XL slip yet, so I’m not much qualified to say anything about it. What I know I’ll love though, even with the added shelf space, is the folder, similar to HDzeta. I think everyone should be doing this. For me, it gives the release more premium feeling with an added folder with artwork, rather than an envelope stuffed inside the steelbook. Team folder!

Well, they also have a more “premium” price tag. I guess the most expensive for the retailer is a steelbook and disc itself, increasing a size of booklet and adding a folder should not bumb the price by much, but that’s what’s happening. In the end FA justifies already too expinsive releases to be even more expensive, and making more money.
But you know, when you don’t have a choice like with BR2049 you will pay whatever they request.
Anyway, vert excited to get E3.

Hardboxes I like instead of maniac boxes
Depends on the release so I get a hardbox release the odd time but not often most time I stick with individual editions

Price also another factor It was cheaper getting all separately
