On Friday night me and the wife watched White House Down and Now You See me.
White House Down 3/5. Not bad, I like the humor in it (including the ID4 joke). Just the reliance on green sceen for really standard shots is terrible. Considering the budjet its really bad. The CGI is great in some shots (Air Force One) but terrible in others (the Black Hawks flying down the street comes to mind). Gag reel was funny though.
Now You See Me 5/5. God I love this film. I saw this at the cinema but my wife didn't. She loved it too. Great shots and I love the music used. Some shots don't look great, the shot inside the MGM Grand were the camera swoops around is fuzzy as hell.
Watch the deleted scenes after. They are very good.
Will have to watch the extended cut and commentary later. Cannot wait for a sequel.

Watched The Place Beyond the Pines earlier - it didn't continue as good as it started for me but was still enjoyable.

The Jungle Book, the restoration work looks great. The audio is great too. I'm loving this release.

Wow! Haven't enjoyed a crime thriller like that in years. Kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning till end. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it yet and enjoy crime thrillers/mysteries.

The Counselor - I don't recall the last time I saw a trailer that not only did not shed anything on what the movie was about and then it was proceeded by the movie which was a bigger version of that trailer.
It's a meager attempt by Hollywood to glamourize the drug trafficking situation in Mexico. I was left more confused by what the director was trying achieve by the time the credits began to roll.

Last in hand purchase was justice league: war Steelbook. Last received in mail purchase was fox connect sdcc version of the fly. Last preorder placed was for Jurassic park and King Kong Steelbooks from amazon.
