Watched Deathrace, Knowing, Valkyrie. Deathrace was cool. I thought Knowing was interesting for a while and then it turned weird. Valkyrie pretty good.
I really enjoyed Valkyrie but then again i am a bit of WW2 buff. You should watch the documentry on the disc it has a nice 2 hour one and i think the film shows all of this in a good way.
so i take it you watched band of brothers on blu-ray?,one of my favorite parts was the end of the beautiful scenery in Germany, the mountains so close to the lakes really remind me of where i live in canada, just like it,but roads in the mountain sides..
i saw it when it first started on HBO and was so addicting to watch, even better i saw the rest in HD since i only saw half of the series on TV...
i can't wait to see if HBO starts another series like it,could you picture war ships and submarines going at it....or something like the war in Vietnam, just an update to it...closer to history then hollywood story telling, like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platoon_(film) ...platoon had a great cast and action but it would be cool if there was some true history to it.
Full Metal Jacket was another war movie i liked, that Sniper part was really interesting and really stuck with me.
For you guys that like war movies, I just watched Defiance last night. Daniel Craig does a pretty good job and it was a pretty good movie too, much better than I was expecting. Craig and his two brothers were eastern European Jews who went to live in the woods for a couple of years to escape the extermination from the Germans. It's all based on a true story as well, pretty good flick.
I just got The Soloist and will watch it this weekend!
Bought and watched Coroline yesterday. Man what a disturbing flick, haha. i was expecting something for the children but NOPE, I prolly wouldn't show this to my kids if i had em.
lol....okay..
I Hate all Clay type movies...its just so.... Mental to me,i don't know why!,i never liked them as a kid...the only Ones i managed to watch and enjoy one bit are the Mr.Frosty & Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
the rest like nightmare before Xmas are disgusting

I love Nightmare Before Christmas, and I actually just watched Coraline on tuesday. I was completely BLOWN AWAY by the picture quality. I don't think there is a blu that even comes close, it was truly 3D and incredible - and I was only watching the 2D version on the disc. The sound was pretty incredible too. That was an excellent release, not my favorite movie, but the best picture and one of the best audio tracks I have ever heard.
Now for the movie, it was pretty dark and weird... I found Dakota fanning to be pretty annoying as Coraline as well. Not a bad flick though, just not something that I want to own unless it's for demoing to people who have never seen bluray.
