Absolutley fantastic!!!! comparing this to the recent 35mm print i saw and the various DVD's and Laserdiscs i own, this just blows it out the water. lots of detail. no post processing (DNR & EE). brilliant transfer from Fox!!!

a bit of a letdown, the DTS-MA 5.1 sounded a bit weak in places (mainly the dialogue) but it gets a thumbs up for some great amibent effects and Jerry Goldsmith's score just resonates through all the speakers

I watched A Clockwork Orange last night - started watching City of Angels on DVD...then went out and bought Broken Arrow, The Thing (Kurt Rusell) and Hot Tub Time Machine for $8 each.

the man with no name trilogy (fistful of dollars , few dollars more, the good bad and ugly)...on sale a best buy. only watched 2 of 3, but interesting bonus features talking about film and sergio leone. Even more interesting is watching this in order and watching the works evolve from actors and film making. very cool

We Need to Talk About Kevin BD-brilliant performance by Tilda Swinton and disturbing, but relevant and beautiful film.

I rented that the other week and loved it. Totally agree with you here.

I just bought Chronicle and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

Just finished watching Chronicle and thoroughly enjoyed it. Haven't seen ROTK before, so I'm looking forward to that, tomorrow evening :)

Got my real steel metalpack, very nice metalpack, the one from bluffans...
Watched the movie its cute..:) the little boy is a cutie...:) overall good acting, solid plot, so I give a thumbs up...:scat:

Watched John Carter this morning & really enjoyed it. Disney's advertising was way off on this flick. First, should've kept John Carter of Mars title. Second, while there are action scenes in this flick, the ads made you believe it was the majority of the movie. Hopefully people will take a chance & give this at least a rental.

After the kids went to bed watched Carpenter's Halloween & Halloween II (for the first time). I can see why the original is a classic. John Carpenter's score is just fantastic. The sequel was solid, but dragged a bit for me. I could watch Donald Pleasance's Dr. Loomis all day. What a great character.

Currently watching The Artist on Blu-ray. So far so good. The film has a very simple feel to it, but the subtle struggles that the main character goes through are brilliant. Don't want to post spoilers so I'll just leave it at that.

Watched Halloween III: Season of the Witch this afternoon. Haven't seen it since the early 80's, but really enjoyed it. Solid flick.

Then watched Switch with Jennifer Aniston & Jason Bateman. Pretty good, but a bit slow.

And just finished Halloween IV: The Return of Michael Myers (for the first time). Doesn't have that John Carpenter touch, but it was good.
