What a joke...The purple was fine like that.

Could it be just for Germany? The release date is not the same a France.
Nope, Netherlands too:-

Oh gosh yes !

Looks funky and super tacky ... and a bit rude ... but could still look the (show)biz in a lovely rich gold with gold gloss 'Freddie' part embossed against a matte gold background.
Goes without saying that gold steelbooks are a definite rarity in the UK (as was the purple) ...

... but is it going to be an ABBA / NEW GROOVE shade of gold ----------------------------------------------------------- or other shade?

I"m just noticing now how much cheaper the UK steelbook is than the Canadian steelbook ($44.99 Canadian which is about 26.72 pounds). Then I realized 2 things. 1) this release isn't 4K..which is fine by me. and 2) It's Fox...which means that it will most likely be Region "B". So that sucks. But if that's going to be the art...then I guess it no longer matters.

Definitely preferred the purple one. I can kinda see what they are trying to with the gold one but somehow it just looks odd. For some reason WWA’s seem to always choose an underwhelming artwork lately.

So, is gold a suitable colour for a BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY steelbook? I should say so.. . . more than purple anyway.

Oh man, that purple steelbook design is PERFECT.

Will be really bummed if the gold one turns out to be WWA

The embossing would be the draw for me. Hopefully it looks a lot better in hand. Nevertheless, this is definitely a movie I would want in a steel so I'm still getting it. May switch to a 4K edition with another retailer though.
