As one of the biggest lovers of this film, I'm extremely happy to announce and have had a small part in this steelbook's inception. :D

:drool::drool::drool:

All are standard G2/Blu-ray sized SBs, and have front / rear / interior artwork with no logos or certs printed on the covers. They will be double play (dvd & bd) on all the single films - Limited to 4,000 of each and priced very favourably!!

PURCHASE HERE

I really want this one. It's one of my favourite movies and I still don't own it in Blu-ray.
I'm double-dipping on this and it's soooooo well worth it, the steelbook will be for display purposes only though and the one I currently own with the slipcover for viewing leisure :D

The question is..... will this disc be better or the same as the Sapphire release from Paramount? I mean Video and Audio quality. Anybody have the UK release from Fox?(amaray)

Update
It seems that the standard release in the UK is Region Free:D

IIRC, the audio is exactly the same (US is encoded with Dolby TrueHD and the UK is DTS-MA)

the video i think was basically the same but the UK had a very small amount of post processing done but from what i remember it's hardly noticable

I have the UK BD and it's looks and sound great

You are sort of correct.

The Paramount BD shows a bit of fine grain thus resolving texture details a tad better (check out the foliage) than the FOX BD which is slightly filtered like Thin Red Line. However, it is very miniscule and can go unnoticed to normal viewers.

Although I am not that OCD with Steelbooks I tend to be a bit OCD with assessing PQ.:naughty:

Btw. why are people concerned with the encode / transfer when they aren't even going to remove the shrink wrap? :hilarious:

I was asked in an interview 9 years ago what my favorite movie was, and this was the answer without hesitation. It still is. Hopefully soon I will be able to answer it as my favorite Steelbook, as well!

Sweet steelbook. I like the subtle front cover with the tip of the blade. Hoping to get my posts up, so I can get on this GB, along with the Alien anthology, since the US is outside of shipping options for play.com

Can't believe the play releases. Would rather have an extras disc over a useless dvd if i'm being picky. Great editions, worldwide exclusive and awesome pricing! 2 on order :D
