Can you guys recommend/suggest any good monitors?

I've had this 17" Dell monitor for like 5 years(maybe even longer)... I do a lot of artsy stuff and this one is so old now that I can NEVER get it entirely clean.

This Asus is 23", 2ms and LED backlight, 2 HDMI... but the awkward ring stand kind of turns me off, have any of you used them before?

And this one is 24" 2ms, 1 HDMI.

I have the 24" Asus that you listed there at the end. I love it I don't have any issues whatsoever, the contrast ratio is perfect. The color presets are nice as well, the screen is really really bright if you don't adjust it right lol

It's not the best 24" out there, but it definitely will do a fine job for the price you pay.

Okay guys, building a PC then since I couldn't get my guitar.

Intel i7 2.66GHz
6GB of DDR3 ram.
GTX 295... or should I wait for the new Nvidia cards?

I thought about getting the ATI 5770 as well but I heard ATI wasn't good for 3D modeling.

Which i7 chip are you getting?

That video card is nice. Although if you are looking for speed, ATI's 5950 or whatever the highest one is it's the fastest out there. I hate ATI's Catalyst drivers though.

Nvidia isn't making any new cards for the moment, you'll probably won't hear anything from new from them until the end of the year 295 is the highest for now. They are working some new graphics processor or something like that.

i7 umm, the one I'm getting is 2.66GHz... I think it's the 920.

I heard Nvidia were coming out with new GPU's in 2nd Quarter of 2010, I can always get a cheaper card now and upgrade next year... maybe the GTX 260?(I guess I'll take anything that can run Crysis at high settings, haha)

Yeah, the ATI 5970 is the top of the line right now... but since I'm buying a PC, mainly for artistic stuff... I think it would be over kill.
