I was in the HMV in Swords this morning and there were no copies. I asked an employee at the desk about when they were expecting them in and she said they didn't know when the steelbook was coming back into stock.

Most of the staff in the Swords HMV are clueless, I've stopped asking them about things in there cos I never get any helpful info.

Yeah, it's hard to get any info about the Irish release. I rang Henry St and I was told the same thing. But the employee said he would get onto his manager and try to get some info for me tomorrow. Supposedly the Irish steelbooks never made it across the Irish sea, therefore it may work differently than how there sorting out this mess in the UK. Like in the UK it sounds like they held on to the steelbooks in their back room and waited for the replacement discs replacing them manually. I'm kinda anxious to see how it works here as they didn't stock the Jaws or Snow White and the Huntsman steelbooks in their Irish stores either.

At least you where lucky to get someone on the phone, I rang 3 hmv's on sunday and none of them answered the phone, I think they may have been a bit phone shy lol, ah right I see, now I'm wondering if we'll see this steelbook in Ireland at all, the funny thing about the snow white steelbook is that they had it advertised in store for pre-order so I thought they would have it in stock but nope they didn't, hopefully they'll have Dark Shadows in next week seeing as they have an advertisement up for it.

The Snow White and the Huntsman is a strange one, god only knows why they didn't stock it. Fingers crossed that The Cabin in the Woods and Dark Shadows steelbooks get stocked over here. Sure I'll call HMV back tomorrow and if I get anymore info about the The Cabin in the Woods steelbook I'll post the info on here.

A few weeks ago I went to preorder Wrath Of The Titans 3D and Dark Shadows Steelbooks with my local HMV. The guy said he could preorder Dark Shadows but that WOTT 3D was showing up as 'discontinued' on their system and he said they wouldn't be getting it in (most likely what happend to Snow White, Jaws and Sherlock Holmes 2) I replied 'That's funny, coz you've got banners up all over the shop advertising the WOTT 3D exclusive Steelbook for preorder'. He told me that they shouldn't be displayed in the shop and he would have to take them down.

I'm sick of excuses and poor customer care from them. I preordered Cabin In the Woods instore with them from day 1 and I still don't know what's happening with my order. I called in last week and a guy said he would get on to the supplier and that he would contact me last Mon and let me know. I'm still waiting to hear.......

I'm sure they will come back in stock briefly eventually, but I hope they hold onto my copy and let me know when they do

It should take about 2-3 weeks for it to get to your house now with their new shipping service.

That is very strange about WOTT being discontinued, it's still advertised in the Swords, Blanchardstown and Dundrum HMV's, I'm guessing he had absolutely no clue what you where asking for, it's happened to me on many occasions in HMV, I better get in and pre-order my copy of Dark Shadows just in case they don't get it in stock.

Yep their customer care stinks, I personally think they should just close up shop and let amazon or play take all their exclusives, at least that way we would get them and not have to worry about getting ripped off as well.

Fingers crossed that you get your copy of Cabin in the Woods mate.

Typical HMV then! Well Im sure they said 2 weeks, which it will be on Monday maybe they didnt factor in theyre marvelous delivery times
