I couldn't care less about the server issues. That is easy to forgive.

Why make such a high priority release your first foray into the independent business realm? That was a poor decision that set them up to fail from the get go, yet I see the appeal from a business standpoint to start off with a guaranteed money maker. Forgiveness again.

However, to take numbered copies from runs of 500 and 1000 to release at scalping prices to promoting partners before release is unacceptable. As a collector I feel they don't put us first, and I'm insulted. I'm occasionally willing to pay prices like that for backlog items that I've missed, but to ask that right out the gate for something that hasn't released yet and from an unestablished independent seller? No way.

I love this movie, I love the way this release looks, and I really hope I can get ahold of a copy. But Nova is deliberately stepping in the way of that.

This is the point I was trying to make! And is exactly how I feel about the whole situation...:(

@psychoscot and yes buddy where is HDN 100 Copies?! ;) The biggest and best steelbook collectors forum on the planet...

@Choi Chungkwon is there any truth to the rumors that other site/forums have this reserved for them? Then how much is really available at preorder live for these?
If you ask me pre-reserved quantity. Everybody already knew bhope & cinemuseum reserved copies for GB.

My answer is truth.

But I do not know how many exactly nova give them out of print run.

I absolutely don't see the appeal of the full slip artwork, but that lenticular looks pretty sweet. Considering the other versions of this movie that I'm definitely buying, I'm not sure that I can justify buying this though.

Hopefully seeing how copies are being reserved before they go on sale that NM will limit the amount to just 1 per. Now I'm thinking the remaining stock wont last more than 10 mins.

But in the end if that's how they run there business so be it. I'm just hoping I get a copy...

I think you should all stop being so selfish.
These "partners" will pick up the slack on the crap titles that are sure to come down the line.
Like memento, infernal affairs, the pianist etc.
IMO
:)

No copies from the run should have been given to any site/company on the first release. Very disappointing decision by Nova, and one that won't be quickly forgotten if there's any problems next Friday.

New company already making mistakes. Not a good start.

I really want a copy of this, but this latest mistake is slowly tainting my opinion of their business sense.

Hate to say it, but did already when the didnt monitor site traffic last monday, just sitting and relaxing for an hour to finally act on facebook and not even mention it on their home URL of the website.

No professionalism here, i'm fed up.

Hope some Ninja's secure a copy, i ain't even gonna try.

I'm done.

what do you mean everybody already knew? I didn't know and from reading all the posts from last few pages it doesn't seem anybody knew this. :wtf:!! Nova media asks us to forgive ***kup with launch due to their own incompetence. then instead of a gesture of goodwill they add insult to injury by further depleting the number of copies available to order { if that is ever possible}. Novamedia can shove their apology where the sun don't shine.:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::muted::muted::muted::muted:

Why people so upset that appox. 19/500 Lenti and 19/1000 Full Slips have been rewarded to two forums that Nova has a relationship with? HDN has had tons or limited steels allocated for GBs and two small forums cant get a few copies w/o it being called bad practice? Maybe im missing the reason why you guys are complaining but I don see the big deal. Feel like we are getting a bit too entitled here sometimes.

i think most members have a problem with the fact that these copies are sold for double the price in the gbs and it looks like scalping at these forums. That wont happen at HDN.

Scalping is happening on this board. You just refuse to see it. You think over $100 for a WFRR is imune to scalping? Nothing wrong with your so called scalping anyway. I have bought many steels this year at $200 or more. A 500% markup from retail price. Its my choice.

Nobody said collecting steels were cheap. Its a very expensive hobby.
