That all being said I would prefer a group buy for this one. And I'll go one farther. I would prefer the GB to take place on BR forums because they have better servers than HDN.

Good luck with trading mod support and payment support from BD forums when you have a question or trouble with something. :hilarious:

Our server issues from a week ago have been resolved, and that was due to a number of factors that I don't need to go into - but shouldn't be trouble going forward.

Thanks for your continued visits to this forum! :)

After all the anger expressed, and our time wasted, I actually sympathize with Novamedia. For all the disappointment we feel they have to be feeling even more so. This was a huge undertaking, and I'm willing to bet the plan wasn't to let us down. I was mad as HELL- but it's nothing we can do about it now. So how about we show some "Ninja Spirit" on this thread, I'm sure they're reading it. So to Novamedia, we hope you take the steps by means, and in partnerships to get everything to where it is suppose to be! We're only emotional due to our excitement for your product- and passion for collecting. Don't be discouraged, HDN is here, and we encourage you to move forward! NOVAMEDIA, you have my support! ;)

Not sure what is so surprising. They're a brand new company and they had serious issues trying to get the site up and running initially, so this fiasco was pretty much a given. They've apologized and are rescheduling and they owe us nothing (although a price drop + GB would be nice).

It's your own fault for sitting in front of a computer for an hour hitting refresh. It was pretty clear within 15-25 mins that nothing was getting fixed.

NOVAMEDIA does have my support but i think the frustration got everyone annoyed especially that they've announced the pre order date via FB etc and people had to make way for work/plans etc just my 2p

The issue here is not that they had server problems... I get that and totally understand that. The issue is that it wasn't a case where the servers were just slow, which made us buyers a bit frustrated (like Kimchi), but rather that no one was able to complete checkout, and a lot of folks wasted an hour or more while they were at work. Myself, it was 4am where I live and I stayed up all night to partake in this big pre-order. Now, there is a good chance I will have to miss the rescheduled pre-order.

I have to politely disagree. Many times in the past an exclusive has taken time to go live, than once it does if it sells out it's no ones fault but our own. If they would have announced something it would have let us know that this was not taking place today. $47 + shipping for an exclusive is pushing it in my books, even for a Marvel release. Though @Bluprint is correct, we should try to forgive and forget- or at least forgive lol :p Hopefully Novamedia learns from this, and understands that customer experience is above all else ;)

I have the Captain America already in the cart and then error ???
How is that now I get a chance this still to order Choi ???
Is there now a new Pre Order Date / Time?
An answer would be great
regards Thomas

No new pre-order time or date has been announced yet. We'll need to wait for Nova to schedule a time to upgrade their server. Depending on how their host works, that's as simple as a few mouse clicks, or as difficult as switching to a new machine. Could be a while.

I would expect any items in your cart won't be honored, or even deleted, when they are ready to relist the items for sale.

Unfortunately we'll have to go through this ordering process again, and hope for better results next time.

Well I hope the new pre order date is not tomorrow. Not sure I can do this back to back days...

And the worst part about it is I still could lose out since it's so limited.

Part of me wants to keep this hobby going but than another part wants to retire...

Between this dumpster fire (not exactly shocking for anyone familiar with this hobby) and what happened with Memento yesterday (which was far less an issue, but still not exactly smoothly handled), it has not been a good week for Steelbooks.

I wasn't aware of the server issues then but I remember the How to Train Your Dragon GB was a nightmare. I meant no insult to HDN though, I am a proud ninja as well as a proud member of the BR forums. As usual with internet forums both sites have their strengths and weaknesses. I have had zero problems joining group buys or being scammed so the payment support hasn't been a huge issue for me.

Why not just use infrastructure already available from other established Korean retailers.

Wouldn't NM have to pay the other retailers for server time? Server time can be really expensive.

I can forgive but I won't forget! :p
In this day and age no matter how you spin it!
They have done many designs, collaborations with Kimchi on their exclusives!

So I don't agree with making excuses for them not knowing what to expect on a Marvel, Limited edition, pre order day.
And not having the infrastructure in place to cope with what was inevitable. Is unprofessional in my mind.

If your setting up any new internet based company these days you should make sure your Brand new website is up to the task....IMO

Anyway enough said on this and it's time to move on. Lets see what happens when it goes live again and hopefully they have learned a lot from this today...:D
