I wasn't aware of the server issues then but I remember the How to Train Your Dragon GB was a nightmare. I meant no insult to HDN though, I am a proud ninja as well as a proud member of the BR forums. As usual with internet forums both sites have their strengths and weaknesses. I have had zero problems joining group buys or being scammed so the payment support hasn't been a huge issue for me.

Yeah, comparing that HTTYD GB with the way we do things now is comparing apples and oranges.

That group buy was on the old forum software.

This new software is much more able to handle that type of load.

:)

Lucky I'm on my holidays at the moment could you imagine if I was in work today and was trying to place an order and I got asked to do something to do with work

Picture what my response to my employers would have been in the middle of trying to order and the look on other employee faces what's up with Paul he's loosing it
LOL

One word...AMATEURS!! :muted: Got to love Kimchi even more now my Ninjas! :naughty: :woot:

And also they should seek some solid advice from Plain Archive on how to do it.....:p

PlainArchive outsources their website to the company: SHOPIFY.

Shopify is known for stable servers which can coop with severe high loads. Thats how Plain Archive does it. It costs them a monthly fee, but servers issues aren't there and all are kept up by SHOPIFY it self.

They're just trying to make it interesting. They could put them in the local store if they can't work things out.

I couldn't try for 1 anyway, cause I was driving. Just read the thread. :)
Who was it that said it was going to be "Fun"

Damn right man, it's way more fun enjoying the frenzy and hype and trying to secure one of these on order day. It's a low print run so it's gonna be FUN! hahaha! :hilarious:  :naughty:
Here it is. I knew somebody had said it was going to be "fun" :naughty:.
Sorry Psycho, couldn't resist it.

Whoever said first impressions were lasting impressions obviously didn't tell Novamedia - they just angered most of their potential future customer base on day 1. I can't accept that they didn't know this was going to happen - they definitely knew, they were just crossing their fingers.

From a completely selfish standpoint I'm glad the teething problems are happening on a steelbook I have no interest in, but flicking through the last few pages makes painful reading.

I have to agree with part of that. This release only holds interest to the OCD part of me who wants the #1 issue... I am much more interested in their future projects. Still... I hope they get their issues worked out.
