Note extras on Disc 2 are all in HD
Its a pity this steelbook is only 1 Disc release as the extras on disc 2 are fantastic
I have the original release which was a limited Digi Pack packaging including poster of the film and difference of releases on other side and is fantastic
But if your only want the film at least you get the 3 versions on disc 1

Lets hope Zavvi have Disc details wrong and it is a 2 disc release(3 Weeks to find out if its is a 2 disk it will sell out in 1-2 days)
I but I don't think it will as other steelbook releases from zavvi also have missing extra discs[/QUOTE]

yip those are some special features
im glad i have the collectors box with all the special features on dvd
but its nice to have the cuts on the disc
thanks for the info

...
Note disc 2 not included
Below is what will be missing from the steelbook as in disc 2
DISC TWO
50GB Blu-ray Disc
...

That is a spectacular bonus disc, indeed! Pity that SteelBooks so often get the pariah treatment when it comes to content. :(

By the way, I believe that the Special Features disc is a 21GB single-layer Blu-ray Disc. At least that's what my Finnish 30th Anniversary Ultimate Edition release has and the US digipack has exactly the same bonus disc.

Does anyone else keep getting emails from Zavvi apologizing for the delay and that they are "working with their suppliers". Its still on course for a 28/07 despatch isnt it.. or has it been delayed again?

Debating if I should double dip on this one as I have the blu-ray anniversary edition already and need to decide if having the steelbook is worth it as well... Just so many others pre-ordered already

I am debating if i should order this steel... it would be a blind buy for me, not sure if it is a great film or if it will be cheezy in anyway shape or form??

It's a good film, definatly worth a watch. Its not cheesy but it does look a little bit dated now, still a fun movie though.

Looking at the extras that will be missing from the steel Ive been toying with cancelling my preorder for a few weeks now and getting the anniversary edition at some point for the nice packaging (a nice boxset is just as nice as a steel imo) and the content, not just the extra disk but the poster and booklet. That question was answered tonight when I spotted an 'as new' copy on ebay for £8 ...just less than a tenner delivered, not much more than the regular UK bluray set sells for (I dont like those blue and white slipcovers/artwork on those sony editions) too good to pass up, anniversary set bought, steelbook cancelled

I cant see this selling out before release, so Id wait and see the in hand pics that folks post, then decide if you want to double dip, but for me the anniversary boxset trumps the steelbook

my money has not been taken yet, still would have the chance to cancel... but i won't because the description note (emboss/ gloss on spaceship!) sounds just amazing.

i will miss the extras though.:( i love making-of's.
