Received mine yesterday. I like it, glad i got it just wish when they are older films like this that give it the full works ie stick in the book, few postcards loads of interviews and extras, making it the definitive item for that movie. rant over :shots:

I have the Digi Pack Uk release original version
I have the steelbook well I will have on Monday was shipped last Wed
As I am a big fan of the Movie I wanted the steelbook even though its missing the extras disc
I like the look of the steelbook
Only thing to me that looks a bit disappointing is the inside art could have been a lot better

I got my digipak in an auction for £5 about a month ago, always goes cheap in auctions

Folks, please keep the discussion in this forum focused on the SteelBook and do NOT post links to non-HDN forums as stated in the Do and Don't guidelines.

Had this on order but cancelled it. Can't say I missed out on anything here. The embossing is so overrated. These Zavvi releases all look and probably feel the same. There is absolutely nothing special about the embossing to be honest. I look at this and am reminded of I robot, the town, argo, Aladdin, taxi driver, black swan.........and the rest of Zavvi releases with embossing. The Goonies will be the same. I can already see that border :hilarious::hilarious: Nothing unique at all and starting to look really cheap and surprise surprise ..... another single disc release.

Contacted Zavvi about returning this as not described.

Can I ask why?

Wouldn't they all 'look and probably feel the same' without embossing too?

Oh.....I get it how almost nothing comes with original artwork. Almost all the art has been seen in most slipcovers and posters. That's not special. Spot gloss is not special like just the glasses in taxi driver. Its matte for the most part. Great artwork defines most steels and makes them look different despite looking the same. Some of the best steelbooks have no emboss or deboss. Just killer art making them special. Copycat art is not special IMO, but each to their own. I don't see this or any of the ones as special releases except for Aladdin which IMO would have been much much better as a flat steel.

Regurgitating old art is boring. Same formula on every steel is boring. Spot glossing doesn't do it for me. Make it shine. They all just get a basic treatment then are put up for sale as single disc releases.

Still don't understand the single disc treatment, why remove the extra content? My Argo steelbook even had the UV copy removed - what's with that?
