Amazon are sending me a replacement. I contacted them about a some black marks on the front of mine that wouldnt come off and they are sending me out a replacement, dunno what the black marks are they look like marker pen or something.

i just opened mine, and the effect on the spaceship is really nice, however it would be even nicer if the same effect would be on the title as well. and the glue is the worst i've ever witnessed on a steelbook :( but i won't complain anymore about a 13€ steel with a very good film. i'm happy with how this turned out to look.

First time poster but bought this steelbook on the strength of this thread so very glad I,ve found such a great forum.

The steel book is amazing ,great quality and I,m very happy but !!
Please does anybody know if it's possible to watch the English version without subtitles ? I,be exhausted my limited German and google translator but I fear it's not possible so may have to look at buying an English version of the movie ! I hope not but if anyone can confirm that,ll be great .

Also curious about this IMAX version and if I buy this will the same thing happen or is this inability to turn off subtitles highly unusual in foreign purchases ??

Grateful for advice ,thank you

Regarding the subtitles on the IMAX version, it states it has the following:

Mandarin (Traditional), Mandarin (Simplified), English

so at least this has English subs (which the German disc doesn't) but I'm not sure if this has foreign subs hard-coded on the video so they can't be removed, so I will have to wait and see.

Oh, and welcome to HDN

The German disc doesn't have forced subs, you should be able to turn them off via a menu option on your remote as you watch the film, that's what I did on my Panasonic.
