sorry to sound stupid but i dont get it chip

also on another not i was extremely unimpressed with amazon.de packaging on this item! recieved today in a cardboard sleeve with no protection whatsoever not even bubblewrap. yet i noticed somebody elses came in a box with bubblewrap what gives? fortunately no damage.

a user from bluray-disc.de got information via telephone that they got a new wave of #1000 copies ... but they currently are holding those copies back because of the problems ...

i dont know what is true ... waiting

okay this is confirmed via amazon employee: they have 1000 new copies!!
they are not listed at the moment, because many buyers reported a problem.

which problem?
that the zippo not looks like the zippo on the preview picture.
amazon want to check all the boxes first before they come back online.

Does that mean the original release could be considered rarer with the "incorrect" zippo? So technically the price of the original should rise. Like the Independence Day iron pack with the missing "I" or the Avatar Chinese ironpack with the artwork upside down. Hmm...

Wonder how many complaints it took for them to go to this sort of length!

Eh, I have a problem with Amazon opening up the boxes and checking the zippo before they put them back online for sale.

If you look at the image on the top of this thread and the image on Amazon.de site for this item, Amazon has changed the zippo image. They have done this before - saying there is a customer reported problem as the reason for "pulling" the item out of stock. I think this will also prevent further returns while allowing them time to update the image. It will be back for sale soon enough when returns get back to the warehouse.

Actually I didn't think the packaging was too bad at all. The tin was a good tight fit inside the box which had "formers" inside it for crush protection. The shrink on the tin was considerably thicker than the usual used on Blu's and Steels and in this instance I don't think bubble would have added much. I wonder how many of these (first issue) were made ?

Personally I don't care which lighter they include. What I DO care about is Amazon.de unsealing all the tins to check!
