Hey May, yeah, the distributors who drop ship are also partially to blame. Sadly there are deadlines to meet via shipping contracts,and 'collectibles' are very low on the totem pole, vs the millions of cd's, books, amaray,etc that need to get shipped.It's like 'Willy Wonka' at the facilities. Wham bam (thank you ma'am), package, move units, blah blah blah. Not much attention is paid to 'limited' eds or their fragility given this context, because there aren't many, and time is money. But hopefully everyone is able to get some credit from Target, or something for any damaged copies....and hopefully as we see more and more Steelbooks, and complaints about damaged items, some more education will trickle to all levels that need to protect these during shipping...wishful thinking right now.
