As mentioned in my previous posts, there are a variety of factors that govern in what order orders are processed at the retailer level. I have no idea what is causing the delay in this instance, but orders are not always sent out in the order they were received by the order fulfillment system. There could be an issue at some other level in the distribution chain that has nothing to do with Target, or the item itself. It could be logistics, shipping, damaged stock, a system issue, an order processing issue...the list goes on and on.

Mine shipped this AM via UPS solutions, which I think is just a handoff to USPS when it gets closer to my location...

2nd day air is nice. The quicker it gets to you, the less chance for damage.

Not always a guarantee, but it helps.

WoW guys, this C&A Target edition in getting out of control!!!

You "poor" guys in the US get 1-2 G2 steelbook per year and it get that bad??? This is really a non-sense in 2011!!!

I truly hope in 2012 you guys gets a lot like we have here in Canada!!!

Drum, the fact that Target has mentioned to some customers who have written to them that there was a delay in getting the item from the supplier, and now has upgraded some orders to 2nd day air, means there was likely a kink in the supply chain in even getting the copies for Target. I am only guessing, but it's quite possible that the copies for Target were sent at the last minute, because the main run was for FS. Delays can happen at dozens of points in the chain, when third party fulfillment and multiple countries are concerned. Who knows-all speculation in this instance, as I was not personally involved in this project. But had they had the copies where they were supposed to be, at the right time, no one would have experienced a delay. Hopefully things go a lot smoother with future titles!

FINALLY got my shipping notice this morning. Tracked the package and saw that it is on the truck for delivery today!

Good news Harpua! Yours may have been upgraded, usually the 'on the truck' type tracking result is for UPS, not usps.com or other logistics companies. Hope all arrives well for you and others still waiting. I am still waiting for a few copies for members here...I'll PM you all once they're here.

Yeah, it really depends, I've received 1000's of items over the years from UPS and usps and rarely had an issue. But I've heard horror stories for all carriers over the years, too. I hope yours arrives safe and sound, May!

I'm okay with UPS for non fragile stuff.

sucker punch with UPS was a horror. and just recently..scarface order from amazon via UPS was bent halfway, but I believe it was dented already since the box was intact.

I cracked open my slightly damaged copy last night, and I must say, it's a nice steel. Nice glossy finish to it. I hope to watch it at some point this weekend.
