I can't believe there isn't a thread in here strictly for Beer. Well now there is.

So I'm going to Phoenix and this store is about 3 miles from the house I am renting. I need some recommendations of beer they sell. I'm looking for Hoppy beers please. I've had a few of them they sell but not allot. HELP ME OUT!

Nope no dreadnaught here. And it only comes in bombers. I got some trades in the works right now but it looks like i am gonna get two bottles of Surly Five. One bought it for 22 and the other 18. Hope you can get some mobius

my sister called and said she got 2 bottles of surly five, and is going back tomorrow for 1 more (1 bottle per customer limit).

AND, i went to one of the liquor stores that are more beer specialist orientated, and i found 3F dreadnought, and talked to one of the head guys about founders CBS. said that they are only going to get 1 case, and maybe 5 of those bottles will hit the shelves. he said he will try and make sure he holds one for me.

so yah, good day for beer

I think Darkness Day is 10/23. Not sure if its brewery only or released in stores too.

I am heading to Grand Rapids tomorrow for Hopcat The Rapture release. I think after ill walk over to Founders. Even tho they don't have anything good on tap.

aw boo! might make my sister my new surly beer buying, lol. they release abrasive ale in winter too right? i dont think ill be able to get that one either.

i bet there will be some bottles of surlyfest available when im there tho. at least i got that going for me

how is founders brewery for stopping by? i went to tyranena this past weekend and was disappointed. no growlers left, no tours, no food. good beer tho!

our fridge is starting to run out of room, and my wife is getting a little confused as to why im spending all her hard earned money on beer now, lol. i told her she can blame you guys for getting me into this.

i just read that new glarus just released their staghorn. LOVE oktoberfest season! hoping to get that, some spaten, and some sam adams. i heard great lakes made a good one, ill see if i can find that one on tap somewhere. you guys like any other marzen/oktobers that you recommend?

I just had one of my local guys email me on a trade he wants to set up. I really feel like I'm getting the better end of the deal. He wants my bottle of Crooked Stave and one of my Black Butte XXIII and I'm getting a '10 Dark Lord, '10 Darkness, and a BCBCS.***

Going to be near Bamberg? That was a super cool town! I really want to go back. I'm sure you'll be able to find rauchbier all over the place, but the one that I had and is made in Bamberg is made by Aecht Schlenkerla. I think it was even the original.

some can be .... I usually hover around the $4-6 a bottle range when checking out hard to get Craft beers.

I bought two bottle of Oracle for a trade. If I see some ill pick it up for you.

As for beer prices the most I've spent on a bottle was $50 that's a 750ml. On a 12oz I spent $18. If you love craft beer you don't think about price all the time.

thanks . ill let you know if im able to track it down in the mean time. ill be doing a little driving around WI over the next few weeks, and actually be close to madison, so we'll see if i can do some hunting.

ive come from wine drinking to this, and in wine $20 gets you an "average" bottle. my fav vineyards were around $15, so i dont have a problem spending $20 for a bomber of something i think ill really like (although my wife has a problem with it )
