Yes mate. That too. This amounts to crowdfunding - like the everythingblue release. And they had the bloody cheek to say No, it's not crowdfunding;but what else do you call it - on yeah, greed :)

Anyway, they can stick this where the sun don't shine anyway. I might have considered it if they were to do all the Rockys'; but not just one. Quiet apart from that the artwork is seriously uninsipred.

Crowdfunding to pay the retailer for the products for the GB? OK then......

If you're paying them for the product months in advance of the product being produced. Yes, damned right!

If I go to the tailor to be measured for a suit he doesn't begin by saying "Right, I want £500 upfront or I'm not even taking your measurements", or alternatively "I want the full amount upfront to buy the cloth etc"

One pays upon completion and a satisfactory fitting.
At the most paying a small (normally no more than 10%) deposit upfront as a goodwill gesture.

The other methods are not the way business is performed; nor is this GB system!

So what you're saying then in that context you should have the goods sent to you first, then you pay? ;)

I understand what you're saying but at the end of the day the GB system has changed to the new way and this is how it's going to stay, the change in the GB system was not my choice and to begin with I wasn't too sure about it. However since using it from both sides (host and buyer) it's great.

To be completely blunt if you don't like it nobody is forcing you to use it, there are other places to source these from which are more than welcome to go and visit. We can go round and round in circles and the HDN stance will not change. As I've posted in various threads GB hosts are trying to find different ways in order to do things with the new system. As I've posted again, numerous times, I will be looking at doing a deposit scheme for a GB and GB hosts can do the same if they want to .

You take that completley out of context. How you could possibly draw that conclusion is beyond reason.

I shall reitterate, in simple terms:. It is normal business practice that one pays for goods upon receipt (in shops).
Or, where goods are tailor made, or to special order, one may be expected to pay a small goodwill deposit upon ordering.

It is also normal business practice to order goods online and pay for them upon despatch.

Anything else (and I am well aware they exist) is NOT normal, nor good business practice.
You may like or dislike that, but it happens to be the truth.

I have no intention in going round and round on this issue.

There are such things as consideration for the customer and meeting the customer's needs which are sadly lacking in certain parts of this place.

p.s. The "blunt" reference was just that. Utterly superfluous and out of character.

There is no more to say really

Did you miss the smiley bud? Obviously I know what you meant hence the smiley for a small bit of sarcasm and jest.

And yeah, that was a blunt response. I'm not going to back down from it or apologise for it.

OK mate I'm not going to have this conversation with you anymore. Should you wish to discuss the GB system any further please post in the GB system thread or contact admin.

Thanks
