Cyberpunk 2077 is a role-playing video game that was first announced last year, based on the Cyberpunk series of pen-and-paper games. The game is being produced by CD Projekt RED, developers of The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

Cyberpunk 2077 will feature a decadent futuristic world in which ultra-modern technology co-exists with a degenerated human society. The game aims to be a mature, ambitious title with character customization being strongly tied to the plot. It will have a non-linear story with different character classes.

Cyberpunk 2077 tells the tale of how advancement went hand-in-hand with the decay of society. In the game, players will walk the streets of Night City as an individual, who was raised on the streets and is trying to better himself.

The city is not a nice place to be due to drugs, violence, poverty and exclusion. The streets are also filled with junkies addicted to a drug known as "the braindance," which provides the illusions of giving someone a more exciting life.

Unfortunately there was no date given in the video below, however the game is expected to arrive before 2015.

The teaser shows how the Psycho Squad might acquire a new member.

The Psycho Squad specializes in combating "psychos" -- individuals who overuse implants and substances that boost or otherwise alter the human body.

There comes a point when they overdose on these innovations, and their bodies start to rebel against their biological body parts as well as all things organic around them. Simply put, they start killing people, who they now derisively call "meatbags."

When a psycho goes on the rampage, strange things can happen. There's carnage, and the psycho might be taken down by regular police, but they're not always able to get the job done.

When things spin out of control, they call in MAX-TAC (Maximum Force Tactical Division), popularly called the Psycho Squad.

Really tempting to pick this up cheaply second hand.. Especially as I need something to do now that I'm at home so much. For the people who play on regular ps4's, is it actually 'playable'? I don't wanna spend money on a game that will only bother me because of the crashes and glitches etc..
I don't want to say yes, but at the same time I don't want to say no. Seems some are bothered about it's performance more than others. Probably worth waiting it out if you want the absolute best experience though!

Will do that. I'm usually not too bothered about performance but some of the stuff I've seen online about the game looked really bad. I'll wait and see, thanks for the feedback

Sadly starting to experience more and more performance issues now I'm out in the open world... had a few more crashes and some frame rate issues - NPCs and textures popping up. Also noticed a lot of stuttering during certain cutscenes (only with the image/video... audio was fine). I will say the world itself feels like a ghost town most of the time... very few civilians and cars on the streets (even parked vehicles are hard to come by). That said, the map is super vast and I can't see myself ever learning my way around it like in GTA. There's levels upon levels of buildings and roads, some of which you need to use elevators to access. Think I could easily lose a week to the game just exploring!
Yeah mine froze during the battle with the Militech mech's so I said that's my queue and went to bed. This morning though I'm moving the game to internal storage on the PS5 as I've noticed the game has some very long load times so hopefully by putting it to a faster drive will increase load times. Mind you I have all my PS4 games stored on an external drive but it's not an SSD, it's a mechanical drive. Next month I plan on buying the Samsung T7 Portable 2TB drive which is smokin' fast and transfer all my PS4 games from the HDD to it.

Those of you that are having issues with the game go into settings and goto "Controls", next turn on "Show Advanced Options" and turn both "Horizontal Turning Bonus" & "Vertical Turning Bonus" to zero (0). With graphical glitching while still in settings goto "Graphics" and turn "Film Grain", "Chromatic Aberration" & "Motion Blur" to OFF. This should help reduce it.

I did most of this last night to help with my motion sickness and I definitely haven't felt as bad today. Just done the "Turning Bonus" one to see if that also helps. Thanks dude!

Quick question guys for those that have played this on PS4 and PS5.

Ive been hyped for this game for a long time. Ive asked the Mrs to get it me for Christmas but ive read that the game has major problems.

Should i wait it out for a few months before i get it?

I will be playing (if i get it) on PS5.

If you'll be playing on the PS5 then my suggestion would be to go ahead and get it. It has a 43GB update right off the bat after you install it which I've only had one freeze up since I've played it. Other small graphical anomalies may appear from time to time but don't really hinder game play. They'll also be patching it from time to time to eliminate all the bugs so yeah go ahead and get it, I'm pretty sure you'll like it. I can't stay off of it, it's so addicting.

EEK! Oh man that really sux! Sorry to hear that. Was it after or before the 1.04 update?
Before. That's then when I saw your message about the update and downloaded it before reloading the game... funny thing is it made me rewatch the cutscene inside the car, and there's a weird bug where Jackie has a random gun appear through his head which still happened even after I updated lol.

Yeah the game did a hard crash sometime after the update and I sent the info to Sony, they definitely have some more bugs to work out.

Cyberpunk 2077 pre-sold 8 million copies and is now the biggest PC launch of all time

Cyberpunk 2077 shifted 4.72 million copies on PC from pre-orders alone

Cyberpunk 2077 has become the most successful PC launch game of all-time.

Prior to Cyberpunk 2077's arrival, the game that boasted the most day-one sales was World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, which broke records when it released in late November and sold 3.7 million copies on its debut.

Only a couple of days ago, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands publisher Activision reported to investors that the latest expansion to the popular MMO was the fastest-selling PC game ever, beating the previous record-holder, Diablo III, which shifted 3.5 million copies on its opening day.

Cyberpunk 2077 publisher CD Projekt, however, announced on Twitter that it had clocked up an astonishing 8 million pre-order copies across both console and PC. Thanks to the speedy math of our pals at PC Gamer, this means Cyberpunk 2077 shifted 4.72 million copies on PC from pre-orders alone.
