What's the chances of this double a paper back covering the back lenticular like Civil War? I kinda just assumed it'd be a tiny slip like GOTG but I've only now remembered what Civil War was like. It's just that I keep my premiums sealed as I'm more of a slip man and I already have the front art visible with the Kimchdivd Lenticular on the way.

I was offered a single lenti as I didn't make the list of 60 for the double.. my time was 2minutes25seconds so 60 copies were sold before that time.. crazy fast.. I've heard that some gb steels in the past have been sold in less than half a minute so it's not surprising.

I really appreciate the work you did @cooey (and anyone else involved) in securing more single lenti's for us otherwise I would be walking away empty handed.:notworthy::thumbs:

I knew this was gonna be a tough one with such a low print run and there was a big chance I would have completely missed out due to that, so I count myself very lucky and I'm looking forward to adding this to my marvel collection:joy:

So Very Happy to hear you got yourself a Single Lenti, it looks Really awesome

I only just discovered the site and was fortunate enough to find the Group Buy. I did wonder if it was always this crazy. Considering the circumstances, I think @cooey & @Wreck did a highly commendable job of managing the fallout and their best to please as many participants as they could.

No this was the only Crazy Group Buy we had since the new system was put to use about 4 months ago...it usually goes smoothly.
Welcome to HDN and feel free to chat with us ;)

Thanks actarus:joy: I feel very fortunate :cigar::cigar::cigar:x3;)
That is a nice feeling :emb:x3 :joy:

The main reason I ordered this from the group buy was cause I knew i'd regret passing.
For some reason I just thought this'd be going for super high prices, even compared to other Blufans I've passed on before

No offence but as a community it saddens me seeing these people who have most likely secured a copy being a little shady to those who have missed out and by accident, maybe just missed the change in the group buys system...we get it you've got one but don't throw shade. Be better then that and respect peoples disappointment.

Right, thats me done for the day!! It's been a long long loooooong day!!!!

Thank you to everyone for the positive and nice comments and for your patience, I really appreciate it.

Thank you to @Wreck for all of his help today. We've been able to offer everyone who ordered in the GB at least a product from the 3, which I'm amazed we have been able to do considering how limited this is.

Great job. How in the world did you guys get those copies? Sent an HDN Chinese agent to burglarize the Blufans warehouse?:p

Should I thank the HDN for the PM i got? With all the GB fees and ads within forum pages glowing like chritsmas tree?
I am not impressed at all.

I dont like to go around and discuss HDN business to always look like we need a pity party ... but lets break this one down.

1) HDN hosted GBs dont have gb fees. ie. blufans , kimchi.
2) HDN is paying for over 60 copies to be shipped ... some of those will cost $23 in shipping charges alone. The PMs that have gone out from @cooey have simply said if you guys feel like tipping that would be appreciated but not necessary. If you or anyone thinks that I personally just enjoy footing a bill of the magnitude of which this will cost then you must think I love steels wayyyyyyyy too much. :p INSTEAD things like Ads and such that you guys view and SUPPORT this site with allow for us to perform such actions like this.... What most don't know is we do many many things all the time behind the scenes and help people that cost money. But I am not going to publicize it very often at all as the couple times we did publicize in the past years then some people (none of yall) come out the woodwork with scenarios with an open hand. I rather not have to make those decisions so just like NINJAS ... HDN often works in the shadows. There is a reason why we have a fan base and its cause we take care of our community. Taking care of a community and staying online and growing, and when your site is so big it has millions of pages that cost money every single day you have to evolve and try to make the site make money to continue bringing the quality content and services that we do for everyone.

Some other places want to say we are all about the money. Well look at what it can provide? And again grow a site this big and see if you can afford the monthly bills without monetizing your site. Good freakin luck. Our ebay handles are not masked, our sales are completely transparent and for that fact we rarely ever even sell on there. We do not allocate ANY GB qty for ANY ebay sales. Often they hit our web store if even.

As for @megabee .... please everyone give him the utmost respect as he is a well respected member of this community and has some of the most amazing photos I have ever seen. I understand the frustration and perhaps knowledge like that above might give him better insight.

I heard there was such thing as free speech. Will you feel better if I left?

Today I had a phone conversation with a guy (not me) who was kicked out of DL, despite having time much faster than some of people celebrating their DLs here.

There were a couple Russian addresses that had a 1 click and a DL and their DL was refunded. Maybe one was him? As for timestamps , could have been a few things. 1) I dont know if the timestamps went by the HDN gb orders pages, or the paypal timestamp, and/or if we made a mistake. *shrug*

ps. my 2 sisters are both Russian (I'm not) but point being no conspiracies there. From Russia With Love.

update: you are on 1click list MegaBee ......... not happy? :(

info for the thread for those who asked ... run is 2k , but the difference this time is 500 1 clicks thus that means only 500 copies for sale combined between SL and DL separately. Between that and the art on the steel itself being diff then WWA is what made this very coveted.

Hey @Wreck

Please understand me correctly.

I fully understand that a site this big consumes quite a bit: money, time, and staff efforts.
All those efforts and all those money are fueling site improvement and growth. I remember this site when it was much smaller scale, differences are dramatic. Kudos!
In the end this is all about content. Ads, GB fees, donations etc all contribute to site/content improvement, and current expenses. More content, better content.

The new GB system is also a new kind of content, which attracts collectors.
But recent changes in ads, they need to be justified. Personally, I can tolerate ads on top, on bottom, maybe sideways, but breaking the page reading flow is not cool for me, this shall have some serious reasons. Mobile reading flow is ugly, where the ads cover more than mobile screen. The new GB system could be one one of those reasons for justification. Under moderate/low demand it works ok, but glitches like this one heavily disappoint.
Under such heavy load as yesterday, the site was slowed moderately, which is OK, but booking system failed.
I am aware you are certainly limited in your options for GBs like this, this causes this heavy demand. I am sure your team did as much as possible, with all those negotiations with BF.
It's the overbook situation that disappoints. I do not know reasons, be them technical or human factor, or combination of both. It's just not cool for such things to happen. In the end, you and @cooey had so solve this manually, something had to be sacrificed. So much for ads/whatever, which implied better GB system technical-wise.

If the system were technically OK, this would be much easier for everyone, much cleaner resolution.

As for myself, I consider the resolution reasonably fair. I will certainly give some tip, and this will go towards better HDN.
But other guys suffered.
And I hope the GB system becomes more robust.

Thanks!
